I have a silver lab puppy with TONS of energy. More so than other labs in my opinion. We are halfway through our 6 classes and definitely see a difference in recall and off leash obedience. Jon and Dawn have SO much knowledge and love for dogs! All of the amazing tips and tricks we have received from them as well as the other dog parents would have been worth it alone. From foods to treats to commands and actually understanding the puppys behaviors in order to correct or train them makes all the difference. I also love that my puppy gets to play with other dogs to learn how to act and play in a pack environment. Something humans just can't teach. Jon and Dawn really care about your animal and you. It makes you feel like part of the family. They even followed up twice after my puppy was spayed and had vulvoplasty surgery to check in on her and her recovery as well as offered tips! Highly highly recommend! Update to original review since working with Jon for over a year. He has helped my husband and I understand dog language and behavior better which in turn makes us better doggy parents. It's easier to correct behavior when you know what your dog is experiencing or how they will react. He has taught us to be proactive instead of reactive. Jon has prepared us during pregnancy, once we brought baby home, and since then on how to prepare our dog for having a baby in the house and how to introduce them. The dog has adjusted so well and we continue to follow Jon's advice and seek his opinion on certain situations. Jon and Dawn have gone over our dogs allergy test with us and worked to help guide us on better food brands and treat options to heal our dog who has sensitivities to grains and specific proteins. They explain everything and help you understand labels when the vets don't. They have also taught us how to treat superficial cuts and scrapes to clean and prevent infection or how to handle it when she eats something she shouldn't! He is a wealth of knowledge and we have leaned on him tremendously over this past year! I have had Jon watch my dog a few days as well and the care he provides unmatched. Having him as a resource is invaluable!

Jon responded quickly to my email, offered a free evaluation of my dog's behavior, and actually was able to teach us how to resolve the problematic behaviors (resource guarding of me -- leading my 10-year-old rescue dog to bark and growl at my wife whenever she approached me) just during that evaluation. He didn't even charge us for this, but it has made a world of difference in how we can interact with Li'l Cactus. Before reaching out to Puppy Paw Training, I had been quoted $2000 by another trainer in the area and told that I'd have to pay that up front before they even met the dog. Jon's approach saved me so much money and stress and I am so grateful! Li'l Cactus and my wife are both so much more comfortable in our home thanks to him. He truly cares about dogs and does a wonderful job!

Puppy Paw does an excellent job. They are trained and experienced working with all breeds. They helped our Lab with a number of behavioral issues including how to calm down when guests come over our house and leash walking. The owners are huge dog lovers and go above and beyond to treat all dogs will love and respect. We are so glad to have worked with Puppy Paw and gotten to know the Jon & Dawn, and their dog named Max.
