Puppy Love Dog Training

PuppyLove is the very best dog training organization in the area. I would not take any dog of mine anyplace else. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. I have worked in veterinary medicine since 1989 and have seen many dogs with problems caused by and also dogs with problems not remedied by punishment oriented training. All the trainers at PuppyLove use positive reinforcement training techniques. They are all very experienced and knowledgeable. At PuppyLove your dog learns to want to do as you ask and they enjoy doing things with you. My pug graduated from level six nosework. She excels at it and understands what is expected. Who would ever have thought that a pug, who was bred to sit in your lap and look pretty, would have such a great work ethic and be able to find a scent in many different places? That’s what positive reinforcement training can do.

I was referred here by friends who had a good experience with the trainer Katrina. Thinking it would all be the same, I ended up in a puppy training class with a different trainer but definitely did not have that same good experience. 1) My puppy got very sick after his first lesson here. 2) I found her training style to be very condescending and she was rude to a number of people in the class. 3) By the time I stopped going (about halfway through the classes I had paid for) more than half of the class that had started with us had dropped out - so I know I wasn't the only one who felt this way. The only benefits were that I learned the basics of clicker training. I would recommend getting a class with Katrina since that is who my friends had for their class and loved.
