Pup'n Iron Canine Enrichment Center

Over a year ago, I rescued an adorable 3-year-old dog who had been abandoned twice by his previous owners. The last time he roamed a wooded area for about two weeks before he was picked up by Animal Control. He is an Australian Cattle dog mix, smart with a lot of energy. I want to do the best for my rescue dog, but I had never worked with a dog that I knew very little about. Training at Pup N Iron for the last seven months has been beneficial for him and me. I have noticed the positive difference in my dog - he is so well-behaved. I take him everywhere including nursing homes where he enjoys being showered with attention from the residents. At this time, my goal for him is to achieve Canine Good Citizen status. The instructors, Laurie, Kevin, and Chris are very helpful and provide clear instructions. The place is clean and well-kept. The flexible training works well with my schedule. I strongly recommend Pup N Iron.

A little over a year ago I brought home a one year old Sheltie and soon signed her up for classes at Pup N Iron, where I also train my other Sheltie. My new little girl was extremely shy and nervous and I don't think she had been well socialized. I encountered training issues with her that I didn't feel prepared to handle and was close to throwing in the towel but Laurie (the owner and head trainer) was able to give us the confidence to continue and find success. Laurie is talented at reading each dog (and owner) and offering ideas and solutions. The facility at Pup N Iron is a wonderful place to train. The owners keep it clean and the equipment in good shape. There are many classes to choose from and the instructors want the best for you and your dog and use their knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals. I highly recommend Pup N Iron for anyone interested in training for competitions or having a dog that is a well-behaved member of the family.

I brought my rescued, inadequately socialized Cavalier to train under Laurie about 20 years ago. She suggested Agility to increase Kenya's confidence. It worked wonders! She became confident enough to work as a Therapy Dog. We also earned her CGC and a couple of Rally Titles. Laurie has such knowledge of dogs, people and training! She helps you to bring out the best in your dog. The assistant trainers are also excellent. I'm presently training my 3rd dog at Pup n Iron

I’ve been going to Pup n Iron for about 18 years. I’ve taken all of my dogs to Laurie and now Kevin! My first dog went through many trainings from obedience to good canine, rally and agility. I’m about to start my newest member of my house, another rescue in the leveled training classes. I love that they are offered several times and days a week so you can go as much as you want. I recommend Pup n Iron to everyone!
