PumpkinPups Dog Training has been working on behavior and training with dogs and their family's professionally since 2005.
Our goal is to coach our clients to help them understand why they dogs do the things they do, and the become as efficient and skilled at meeting their dogs where they are to improve behavior.
We work with dog of all ages, breeds, and training needs using modern and humane techniques that are enjoyable for the dog and their guardians.
Depending on client needs both private sessions and virtual group and in-person group classes are available.

What is your training style?
All of our techniques are based on positive reinforcement and understanding the dog's triggers and motivations for behavior. This helps us teach new more appropriate responses to situations that are problematic for the dog. Our training is structured to be enjoyable for both the dogs and humans, making practice and learning fun and easy to do!

Join Ask The Trainer which we host every Saturday at 11am EST (except some holidays, please check our website for details). It is our FREE zoom Q&A. Here you can ask questions and receive live feedback which can be really helpful while you are waiting to see a trainer.

Group classes that meet for 6 sessions cost $380. Single session group classes range from $65 - $125 depending on the class and the location. Our website has more information about specific classes.

I have attended two webinars by Pumpkin Pups and they have been tremendously helpful! The trainers are knowledgeable, caring and they offer a free weekly "Ask the Trainer" forum! I highly recommend their services for anyone who would like to strengthen their relationship with their dog.

PumpkinPups has been critical to the success of my adopted dog, Tarot. When my partner and I got her, she was extremely scared and anxious, but after some great advice and strategies from PumpkinPups, Tarot slowly but surely came out of her shell. Recently, during the pandemic, she's been exhibiting some new, odd behavior, so we returned to PumpkinPups for more help. We started the puppy essentials class just a week after getting our pup. At first we thought it might be too soon but instead we found ourselves thrilled that we didn't wait a day longer. The class provided us with a ton of helpful information and hands on experience. Our puppy was able to socialize with other dogs and over the course of the class gained so much confidence. We have just signed up for Manners one and cannot recommend Pumpkin Pups highly enough.
