Psyched Canine

Our dogs had an issue with each other years ago and we had never been able to get them past it. Managing the situation was exhausting so we boarded both dogs with Kim for board and train. She worked with the dogs individually and separately and we now have a MUCH happier household. Communicating with our dogs has been so much easier, they are a pleasure to walk in our neighborhood full of dogs, she trained for off-leash, and most importantly they are friends again!! Kim herself is super reasonable and easy to communicate with. She obviously loves what she does and spent a lot of time going over all the dogs' training when they were done with their stay. Seriously Kim is an above-and-beyond trainer and will be our first call for boarding if we need it again!

I drove 1600 miles each way to work with Kim and was not disappointed. I’d struggled for years with my dog’s reactivity and aggression, and Kimberli resolved it and had him off leash and playing with new dog friends in days. I never thought he’d be able to do that, and I feel like I have my life back and can actually enjoy my dog. He is significantly happier, more relaxed, and so much easier to live with now. She was great at explaining things in a way that made sense, patiently answered my hundreds of questions, and was a pleasure to work with.

I started working with Kim when my young shepherd puppy started showing resource guarding. I have two young kids, so it was a pretty scary situation. Kim has been incredible. My puppy is now approaching adulthood with zero resource guarding tendencies, and she’s very trustworthy with my kids. I also can easily trim her nails which was previously basically impossible, especially by myself. Kim has empowered me as an owner while making sure that my shepherd puppy has been set up for success in every way, and the relationship I now have with my puppy is amazing. Besides understanding dogs so well, she also understands humans well too and is a really good teacher. I couldn’t recommend her more and truly believe every dog and owner would benefit from having Kim as their trainer.

I truly cannot recommend Kim and the whole Psyched Canine operation enough. I brought my very anxious, somewhat reactive dog to her for an 8 week board and train behavior mod program, and left with a calm, happy, and self assured dog that feels like a whole new animal. She was already pretty strong on obedience, but was reactive to men she didn't know and a few other small triggers. Throughout the 8 weeks, Kim provided daily updates, photos, and as much information about how it was going as we asked for. She is so completely knowledgeable on not just dog behavior, but deep dog psychology and from our first call I felt very listened to and my dog was very understood by her from day one. She turned a stressful situation into a calm one, and in many ways saved my dogs life. Forever grateful to her for everything she did for us!
