Providing Pawsable

Our experience with Providing Pawsable has been great. We were looking for a trainer to help our dog with socialization. After COVID we had not had many people over and needed some guidance on how to work with our dog who had become very afraid of people. Rebekah did an amazing job teaching us how to retrain our dog and set better boundaries for him. I loved that she would teach the whole family to learn the skills to handle our dog better. Her methods were straightforward, easy to understand and apply. I loved her approach as she teaches you the skills you need to be successful on your own (like the old saying - give a person a fish and they eat for a day, teach them to fish and they eat for a lifetime) We would learn several things and the next session we would get to practice them- this was so helpful because Rebekah would be able to tell us that we were on the right track or help us do the skill better. It is easy to watch someone do something or hear it and think "yeah I got this" but if you don't do it yourself then you haven't mastered it yet. Our dog is so easy to go on a walk with now that I have learned several skills- I am not being pulled the whole time- this wasn't even on our radar but a happy outcome nonetheless. She was also flexible with where we would train and since the main issues were at our house. it was wonderful to have the option for her to come to us (we are local) I have recommended them to many people. We are confident in the skills we learned. I feel like I understand our dog's behavior better and know how to set the boundaries necessary to help him be more confident in new situations. My husband and I really enjoyed talking and working with both Rebekah and Michael. They are both so kind, knowledgeable and easy going. I would recommend them highly to anyone who needs some help with their dog!

I took my 1 year old golden retriever, Evie, here for 2 months of board and train. First let me talk about the outcome. I wanted to really see improvement in her focus, task reliability (especially around distractions), and length of down stay. All of those goals were met! Prior to the board and train I only felt comfortable taking Evie to pet friendly stores like JoAnn's or Michael's because I knew that she wasn't quite ready for other places. I am happy to say that after her 2 month board and train, Evie is now at a point where we are going to start expanding on the types of places that she can go because her focus is so improved and her reliability of tasks and basic obedience is so much better. In fact, when I picked her up we went to a burger restaurant to see how she would do in that kind of environment, and she rocked it! I am so happy that she made enough progress to where now it is going to be a lot of just learning a few more tasks and generalizing everything to different situations and environments. Next, let's talk about everything else. Rebekah (the owner) is easy to talk to and ask questions to, and is able to be reached with questions and replies pretty quickly. From the time that I took Evie to meet her and talk about being a board and train client, I could tell that Evie was more comfortable with her than a previous training company that we used. Rebekah was able to be much more effective at training Evie than the other trainer, and also much better at putting my mind at ease while Evie was out of my care; I had no concerns about Evie being there. When Evie had a couple of small medical issues pop up, Rebekah was quick to communicate them to me, take her to the vet, and keep me updated on everything. I was able to ask for update videos and photos, too, so I could see how Evie was doing and see her progress/what they were working on. Over all, I am very happy with Providing Pawsable and would strongly recommend them for service dog training. We already scheduled another month of board and train for later this year so we can keep building on Evie's progress!

Rebekah is an amazing service dog trainer/handler. I would 100% recommend her to literally everyone. She is the easiest person to talk to and to get along with and she really knows how to explain things in a way that you truly understand. She also encourages you to share your progress with her so she can keep rooting for you and make sure everything you need is taken care of. She will always give out tips and tricks if you are struggling with something and you reach out to her and she always gets back in a timely manner. It doesn’t feel like just talking with a trainer, it feels like talking with a friend who truly wants the best for you and your dog. She really is the best trainer I’ve ever had (and I have been through a few trainers). ❤️❤️

When I was first searching for a SD Coach I reached out to different handlers and Providing Pawsable came highly recommended! Rebekah, the head trainer, has helped me feel supported, informed, and encouraged through my owner training experience. I come to our sessions with a long list of questions and problems and she ALWAYS answers all of them and more! In addition to Rebekah’s professionalism, she is also genuinely caring. She and her husband have service dogs as well so she has first-hand experiences of what it’s like to have a disability and a service dog!
