Proven K9 Training Amarillo

PROVEN K9 training in Amarillo was truly a great experience for my family. Fenrys, our precocious and stubborn golden/springer mix needed structure and groundwork we weren't able to get started. PROVEN K9 did a 6 week board and train for our pup. It was amazing. We were able to visit for our own training with him and Heather, his trainer, took him everywhere helping his budding reactivity. Even more important, we have a special needs daughter that requires nursing care and many therapies. With people coming in and out of our home, Fenrys desperately needed proper training to provide a safe, interactive atmosphere for both dog and humans. Heather came and practiced during busy times at our house, giving Fenrys and our nurse the confidence they need to have a great day every day! He now has the foundation for us to pick up with routine daily work that we can succeed at. Heather is particularly good at training the dog for their personality and the needs of the home rather than a cookie cutter approach. With the lifetime support we feel great about moving forward with Fenrys an active participant in the family. Proven K9 also offers amazing deals on boarding where they'll do refresher work with your pup if you've gone through training. We will absolutely be using them for any future dogs we get. They are awesome 😎

Lucy, my 5 month old Havanese, attended the 2 week boarding/training at ProvenK9. Heather was her trainer and did a wonderful job with her. She provided daily updates with videos and then trained me on Lucy’s departure date. While Lucy is still a puppy and everything is exciting to her, she is able to “place” and stay focused, sit and stay, and generally overall calmer. I am thankful for Heather’s hard and consistent work and for helping me know that I can do this!

Heather and the crew at Proven K9 were FANTASTIC with our 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix named Lucy! We had recently adopted her and didn't have much history to go on. She was having a hard time focusing on commands, trusting our family as her new "humans," and adapting to her new home in general. Not misbehaving, but more anxious, nervous, and unsure of what to think . . . almost like her wires were crossed and just needed a stable "rebooting." Lucy was signed up for the 4 week immersive board & train program. We were told we'd get updates every 2-3 days and would have around 2-3 private one-on-one training sessions during that time to stay up to speed with what they were training Lucy on and allowing us to be part of the process. With the initial trainer, Cristian, we only got a couple updates and only had a single one-on-one training set up during the first 3 week period - which didn't happen until we asked about it. The day after that one-on-one, we found out Cristian left for another opportunity, so I guess we were subject to a little "short timers" syndrome. To be clear, I do NOT believe that reflects on Proven K9 one bit and more of an unfortunate timing of his departure. The interactions we did have with Cristian before he left were positive and I firmly believe he represented the quality of training and areas of focus that Proven K9 presented to us. Heather, on the other hand, stepped right in for the last 10 days or so and gave us updates every couple days on how she was doing - everything from her training progress to socialization with the other dogs, eating schedule, personality towards the trainers during both the training and down time. Lengthy emails updating and instructing in extensive detail. Provided pics of their "field trips" and great instruction videos showing the training she was doings and things we need to know as she transitioned home for us to continue her training at home. Heather & Cristian both did an amazing job rebuilding her confidence and helping her to start focusing on commands given in higher stress situations. Lucy only just came home yesterday, but we can immediately tell a difference in how she approaches and reacts to our family and the two other furry housemates she has. There's little apprehension now and she is approaching us without hesitation. We'll see how the next couple weeks progress with the transition and update some more, but we can see immediate results in just that first day back. The owners and entire staff are extremely accessible and always willing to answer questions or respond to concerns. Their advise is sound and their results meet (if not exceed) expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
