As first-time puppy owners, we knew we had a lot to learn. We had contacted Melita before we even brought our Portuguese Water Dog home and she helped us from the beginning with everything from crate placement/training to house training to everyday behaviors. We completed her private in-home 6 week puppy course in November/December and she was very respectful of masking and social distancing while training our puppy. She is patient, kind, and a wonderful trainer. After the six week program, we had a new behavior that she came back to hep us modify and her ideas have been successful. We feel that Melita is there for us whenever we have questions and we will continue to use her as our puppy grows. We will soon start her upcoming group puppy class, Beyond Basics. We highly recommend Melita's training programs!

Awesome!. Melita was very insightful in working with our puppy (and us :-) to acclimate him into our household. This was our second dog, so the insight into the psychology of pack mentality and how dogs learn was enlightening. Her training incorporated real world scenarios in her barn program and actual field trips around town and in stores. She is a great trainer and a tremendous value for the money. Highly recommend!

Melita is a compassionate, energetic and clearly invested in helping train dogs to become loving companions. She made it a priority to include and work with our family throughout the process which was enormously helpful! She made the lessons fun for our puppy and it showed in her better behaviors. We strongly recommend her- she is an amazing trainer!!
