FirstBarkThey did a great job in training our dog after multiple places failed. They have fantastic boarding facilities. The owner is extremely friendly and knows what she is talking about.

What are you drop off and pick up hours?
Boarding and Daycare drop-off is from 7–8 AM, and pick-up is from 4–6 PM. These times help us maintain a consistent routine for the dogs in our care. Our training pickup is scheduled into one of our training session windows so we can take the time to go over everything you need to be successful at home.

Do you offer boarding or daycare without doing training first?
Yes, we offer boarding and daycare for well-mannered dogs. We do not take on dogs who are dangerous at this time. Safety and structure are our top priorities.

Of course! We have been professionally taking care of dogs for 17yrs, and have experience in the following: -Geriatric and hospice care -Care of disabled dogs -Oral and topical meds -Injections -Restraint holds -Nutrition

Will my dog be around other dogs during the day?
Yes! All interactions are carefully supervised, and new dogs are introduced slowly to the group. Groups are arranged by size, age, temperament, and play style. We only allow socialization with dogs that are a good match in temperament and energy. We do not take on aggressive dogs at this time into our groups.

Do you work with the entire family and the dog?
Yes! We work with the entire family, including the kids. We want everyone to be on the same page, and really work hard to get the young ones involved with responsibility/chores, as well as the fun activities with the dog. They are a part of your family too, after all!

Definitely. Whether your dog pulls, lunges, or gets over-excited on walks, we’ll work on calm leash walking using proven, real-life training strategies around distractions. We work with reactivity regularly.

Do you offer updates while my dog is there?
Yes! During training, you will get real-time footage of our training lessons so you can see your dog's progress. We regularly post on social media pictures and videos of the dogs we are working with. We even send cute pictures and videos to the owners while their dogs are staying with us!

How far in advance do I need to book for boarding?
We have very limited space for our daycare and boarding services. We typically book out a few weeks in advance, especially during holidays or summer. Early booking ensures your spot and gives us time to prep for your dog’s stay.

What's included in the Board and Train Program?
Our Board & Train program includes personalized obedience training, daily structured exercise, socialization with other dogs, and real-world outings in Southern Utah. We focus on behavior transformation, not just commands. You’ll also receive go-home lessons and continued support.

Project K9 is amazingly helpful and knowledgable. Heather has really studied her craft and knows so much about dogs, from genetics, to health, to therapies, and most of all TRAINING! Thats why you looked up this page right? I've been around dogs my whole life and had dogs as an adult. When I found Heather I was dealing with a particularly difficult dog. Heather was so knowledgable and helpful She helped calm my anxieties and gave me the training and hope I needed too. When yet another new dog we added to our family she was also wonderful. This boy was a total 180 from the difficult dog and he became even better after spending time with Heather. Whether you needs are daycare, boarding, nutrition questions, or training (basic or advanced) this is where to get the help you need! Heather is open to help anyone at anytime and has such a big heart. All my dogs have loved her. When boarding my dogs; one of my them, my elderly toy breed, got very sick. The old little girl was all ready being treated for glaucoma and while we were out of town her glaucoma blew up and she went blind in one eye. Heather took such good care of her. She got her to a local vet right away and got her the surgery she needed. Heather kept me up to date on what was happening as we were so far away and couldn't fly home to help our little baby. Heather even helped her post surgery and took such good care of her. I have no doubt that if my little toy breed had been at a normal boarding place she probably would have passed away from the glaucoma blow up. Heather truly saved her life. We are forever grateful.

I've never owned a dog and my daughter has wanted a dog her whole life (she's 14.) She wanted a dog to do agility training with so we ended up with a Border Collie she named Izzy. I kept reading about how smart this breed is and I was worried I was in over my head! I did a search for dog trainers in the Utah Valley area and was so lucky to have found Heather. We put her in a ten day boarding program and it helped a lot to have her practically crate trained, potty trained and walking on a leash, which she would never do for us! Now I am taking classes called Puppy to Perfect and it's helping me to understand Izzy and what works to get the results you want. Starting out with a great trainer has helped us enjoy her more. Heather is more knowledgable than anyone I've ever met, when it comes to dogs. She's kind, patient but firm, understands dog's instincts and really cares about her doggy clients. She's great with the human ones too! So I would recommend her highly to anyone! We love Project K9!
We have a dog with severe social anxiety and fear aggression. Heather has been helping us rehabilitate him. He has made leaps and bounds in his social and behavioral attributes that will, over time, let everyone see just how loving of a dog he is. Without the help of project k9 this would have never been possible.
