Our 18 month old Lab mix, Molly, is a high energy gal and was difficult to manage, despite training classes. Jumping, pulling, and anxious barking were a few of the things we were hoping to work on. We did the 2 week board and train and are so happy with the results. She was a new dog, behaviorally; doing better with walking, staying in place on her bed, and even recall. She is more calm and I think she feels safer knowing we are able to watch over her and her surroundings. She sees us as her leaders, now. There is much less barking and she seems more content. We can take her out back and let her chase after her toys, knowing she will come when we call. Tim gave us the tools to keep working with her and we now feel we can enjoy her so much more. We would highly recommend the program.

Tim is a great trainer.. with the dogs as well as the owners... he shows great patience and I want to encourage others ... it's well worth the money.... some dogs need a little extra push.. . Stubborn can be fixed my youngest grew so fast I couldn't keep up... especially need Tim's knowledge if you rescue a dog that's got some habits that are not acceptable... I brought my one year old FEMALE GSD to Tim and his crew by the high recommendation of a friend. I have always been around a lot of dogs and have always trained my own dogs. I've never used a dog trainer and was skeptical at first. I had a scheduled vacation with my sister and didn't want my girl going with friends or family while I was away and regressing in her behavior. I wanted her to have the structure and continue training that we were working on at home. My girl stayed for the 2 week board and train program. Even though she was already a very good girl and very willing Tim helped both of us with some behaviors and some training tips for both of us to make the process of owning a young GSD fluid and enjoyable. I love a well-behaved dog, a dog I can bring anywhere and a dog who is responsive, Tim and his crew have helped this process and I'm glad we stuck it out for the 2 weeks, I think I was more nervous than my dog! If I have to leave again I plan on leaving my girl with him.

We found Tim through a recommendation from our veterinarian at Hilton Animal Hospital. What a great recommendation! We brought our 1-year old mixed breed puppy to Tim (all 65 pounds worth) and the results have been fantastic! Angus is a big boy and he was “aggressively friendly”, always jumping up on guests and he really hard a hard time containing his excitement - he was just a big, happy bundle of non-stop energy! We enrolled Angus in Tim’s 2-week S.I.T. Program and the results were fantastic! It was almost hard to believe the dog we picked up was the same one we dropped off. He was calm and attentive and when Tim was working with him he looked like he was having so much fun. After showing off Angus’ new skills, Tim spent all the time we needed showing us everything we needed to know so that we could get the same results. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend Tim to anyone!

This past weekend I hosted a training weekend with Tim Vaillancourt at my training facility Dog Works… Canine Form & Function in Holbrook NY. We had 15 attendees and without exception people (and dogs) were grateful and very impressed with Tim’s knowledge, teaching style, patience & good cheer. He is a versatile and dog centric teacher, making sure handlers understand the principles of learning that guide him through his mission of bringing out the best in dog/ handler teams. He is a true teacher and works diligently to teach process and instill confidence in dogs and handlers making the whole process very understandable, positive and meaningful. We are looking forward to a return visit but I highly recommend handlers take the opportunity to experience his many gifts to the sport when a workshop is available. Perfect for beginner to experienced handlers! Tim excels in all three phases obedience detection and protection. A unique and outstanding experience that shouldn’t be missed!
