Hi Shari, thank you for this communication. Did you happen to get the name of the person and were they wearing any identifiable Professional Dog Mom t-shirt, hat, or jacket? Our facility is in the Kingsbury Center with a handful of other businesses and dog owners. Nothing has been mentioned by our staff so just double checking that the review received is accurately warranted.

Seonah, thank you for the review. Although negative, it's always good to get feedback from clients to understand their experience. And I agree to your suggestion, please read ALL of our reviews before booking. Every bad review is from a dog owner who didn't understand the mental health or coping skills of their own dog. I don't care about your money, I care about your dog's mental health, no matter how convenient it may be for the human to board them. <br>I'm not going to apologize as I've done nothing wrong, however I'm sorry that you don't recognize your dog's own coping skills and mental health thresholds. As a dog owner, it's vital to realize that dogs are NEVER going to behave or act the same in a strange environment with strange noises and unfamiliar humans. And yes, you did call mutiple times, even apologizing for being an "overprotective mom" (your words). <br>Regarding the 3 dogs you've mentioned that were "roaming free", that is not true. All 3 were securely gated behind the reception desk with no access to you or your dog, or the rest of the reception area. The 2 dogs crated were not "rescues", again not true.They were feral dogs and purposely positioned there because we are acclimating them to humans and other dogs. <br>I never promise any specific space for a dog until I've met them and assessed their level of comfort, mental state, confidence, stress, etc. Only after that do I decide how and where they should be housed within the facility, always taking into account and doing our best to accommadate the individual dog's needs. From the moment you and your partner walked in it was obvious that your dog was not comfortable and his discomfort was concerning. I kept watching, assessing, trying to determine if he was going to be ok here, away from his humans. Unfortunately I took the risk and accepted him. MY MISTAKE! When you handed me the treat to give to him, I knew that he wouldn't take it so I tried getting closer to him without rewarding his communication to get away from him. <br>Our Service Agreement which you signed, starts off with a list of DOG MUSTS. This includes: DOG MUST NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF HIS/HER COLLAR/HARNESS. Again, you initialed this clause and signed the agreement. It was at least 5-8 minutes AFTER you completed the document that I noticed his collar was very loose and asked you to tighten it, TWICE. I should have double checked after the 2nd ask as well, but I trusted that you had done what was asked. Nothing was ever mentioned about him "only walking on the harness", another lie. And multiple times you both expressed that he did NOT pull on a leash. As a Positive Reinforcement trainer, I only use slip collars to keep dogs from pulling me down on the ice or turning me into a human kite. AND, I always ask the owner for permission in case it is necessary. <br>And BTW, no dog is going to sleep when stressed, no matter how tired they are. It's clear that he was too overwhelmed and did not have the coping skills to handle the situation. Again, it's sad that you as his owner, didn't recognize this. <br>I never blamed the dog, another lie. Nor would I ever blame the dog, as a professional, licensed, certified dog trainer I know that dog's will always react to their environment the best way they know how. <br>You and your partner both repeated several times that he lacked socialization and although that was obvious to me within the first few minutes, that didn't justify not tightening the collar around his neck. <br>My verbal responses to you were not defensive but were hysterical. I had just spent 20 minutes trying to catch a dog that is fearful of people. I'm sure most people would be somewhat hysterial. <br>You asked me to call if any issues. I did, but you weren't answering your phone. Lastly, I found it quite disturbing that the first words from your partner were to cancel the following days booking, just anger with no concern about anyone's well being. Not even a "Is everyone ok?". That itself says alot.
