About Procyon Training
The mission of Procyon Training is to help the pet parent and their animal build a strong, positive relationship that takes into consideration the physical, emotional, mental, and nutritional needs of the animal. To that end, in addition to offering Basic Obedience Class (Novice-Advanced - to help pet parents prepare for AKC competitions), we offer Trick, Parkour, Frisbee, and Canicross classes, as well as Service Dog and Miniature Horse Training Programs.

In home training is sessions are scheduled according to the owners’ availability. We offer sessions in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends

do you train service and guide dogs
Good evening and thank you for reaching out. We do train service dogs. We train utility, PTSD, anxiety, autism, hearing alert, utility mobility, and food, food, diabetic, and allergens detection. We also train miniature service horses. However, we do not do Seeing Eye work.

Can you train a deaf puppy (will be 2 years old July 22). Rascal was born deaf.
Yes! We actually have 2 deaf heelers. One was born deaf and trained for Peanut Detection. The other deafie is deaf by trauma. Both are amazing dogs!!!!

My dog Orbit did 24 full days of their day training program which cost us $1,575. We never received any breakdown of skills learned. We don’t feel like our dog learned much from their training. He came back to us more reactive, and he only seems to know how to sit (which is a skill we taught him before he even started with them). For this reason I wouldn’t recommend their day training program. I would only recommend in home private sessions or group classes where you are with your dog and can see first hand what is being taught.

I have had the pleasure of using a few of the services that Procyon Training offers. From the very first phone conversation with Stephanie, I was impressed by her professionalism and knowledge. We had an evaluation with our Obi as our first session. Again I was impressed with her ability to determine just what we needed to do and had a plan to move forward. We did some lessons here at home with another associate of Procyon's, Mary. I liked that they both have certifications, proof being that they worked wonders with Obi. They helped me help him. Communication skills with the dogs and the clients is superb. We also had Mary do pet sitting here at our home several times. When Mary sits for us, we have complete trust and peace of mind. All in all we feel truly blessed to have found Procyon and would highly recommend them. Obi and I are enrolled In group classes with Mary soon and are looking forward to continuing his education and our relationship with Procyon.
We just boarded our dog (best friend) with Procyon Training for the first time. We are beyond happy with the whole experience. Our Whiskey dog came home happy, healthy, and clean. The staff at Procyon is very knowledgeable and caring. They took great care of our boy! We feel very confident leaving him again the next time we travel or need a place to watch him for a day.
