Prestige K-9 was fabulous. I used them for my 9 year old golden retriever who is reactive to small dogs, and my first encounter with Chelsea was when I was overwhelmed and in tears because I just tired of the reactivity and knowing that my golden was not mean or aggressive at baseline and she was so calm and reassuring. I was anxious about leaving him with them for so long but when I came to pick him up, he was right at home with the trainers and he is a new man on his leash. They were great in teaching me how to continue his training at home and left me feeling like I made the right move, even with an older pup. His walks on leash are much more enjoyable and I wish I had chosen to take this step much earlier in his life. Would recommend this crew hands down and would use them again if I ever need to train another dog (won’t need to because George will live forever! 🤭)

It only took a short consultation to see this trainer’s ignorance and lack of professionalism. If you have a mixed breed/rescue, don’t bother — it was very clear this trainer did not understand genetics let alone how breed affects behavior. He threw out random and inaccurate statistics in an attempt to justify his ignorance and was very clearly uninterested in taking us on as clients. The most interaction he gave my dog was simply throwing treats at him — regardless of the fact I repeatedly voiced my dog is very timid/particularly scared of men and not food motivated. There were no follow-up calls or texts and it was obvious he assumed my financial status from the moment he saw I lived in an apartment. I’ve worked with several trainers in the past and the level of arrogance this man exhibited was very disappointing — I now understand why he was so readily available for a consultation. I wouldn’t pay this trainer a dollar.

Had my year old golden do the 4 week board and train with Melissa and she was absolutely perfect. Explained every step of the way so well and was very communicative when the program ended and showed me how to continue the training. Could not be happier with the board and train program. If i had ANY nitpick, it would only be that maybe yall should record more clips during training for us helicopter parents who are interested in seeing the progress more. BUT absolutely still 5 stars and that is simply a suggestion because i am a helicopter parent. Great program, great people.

My dog, Buddy, attended a 5-week board and train program, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Melissa did an incredible job working with our reactive pit bull. His behavior has improved tremendously, and he is so much more manageable at home. I am beyond impressed with Melissa and the entire team. We had consulted with several trainers in the past who told us Buddy was too aggressive to work with, so I honestly wasn’t sure a board and train program would even be an option. When we dropped him off, Buddy was very aggressive toward the staff, but Melissa was willing to give him a chance. Through her patience, consistency, and expertise, he gradually learned to trust her, and it was amazing to see the bond they built. I can’t thank Melissa and the team enough for giving Buddy the structure, guidance, and confidence he needed. If you’re looking for trainers who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to work with challenging dogs, I highly recommend them.
