We left Rosie, our 9-year old border collie mix, with Ulysses for a 3-week board and train session. Rosie had been having reactivity issues with other dogs in our building's hallways and elevators. We also wanted to be able to do more off-leash walking with her. We had never boarded a dog before (Rosie is our fourth), so we were nervous. We are happy to say that the experiment was a great success. Ulysses did great work with Rosie. She is more confident and much calmer now with other dogs. She is more responsive to commands. It's almost as if she became a younger, more vibrant and attentive version of herself. We are very grateful to Ulysses for all his care and attention.

We recently adopted a 6-year-old German Shepherd after a foster fail! She has the biggest heart but struggled with reactivity toward both dogs and unfamiliar people. After just a few private lessons with Ulysses, Florencia has made such great progress, she’s now much more tolerant of dogs and people on walks and has even gone so far as to make some friends.
I wasn’t sure with Florencia’s age and unknown history how much progress we would realistically make, but she has really turned a corner for the better and I am so grateful! Can’t recommend Ulysses enough, especially for reactive, anxious dogs!

Ulysses is an Incredible Dog Trainer — Truly Life-Changing
We seriously can’t thank Ulysses enough. Our dog Enzo went through his two-week board and train program, and it completely changed our lives and Enzo’s for the better.
Before training, Enzo was super anxious and constantly nipping at us. Not out of aggression, but because he was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to cope. We were stressed, he was stressed, and walks were a mess. After two weeks with Ulysses, he came back a totally different dog. He’s so much calmer, listens to us, heels on walks, and is just overall happier. Now he just wants cuddles and pets instead of using us as chew toys.
Honestly, we found Ulysses through Google reviews and thought, “there’s no way someone can be this good,” but he really is. If you're reading this and feel the same, trust me, it’s real.
What makes Ulysses stand out is how deeply he understands dog behavior. He doesn't just teach obedience commands — he gets to the root of why your dog is acting the way they are. He took the time to really understand Enzo’s specific issues and made sure we, as owners, felt confident keeping things going at home. He explains the theory in a way that makes sense and is super patient and supportive throughout the whole process.

So, so glad we found Ulysses and Prestige Dog Training. I was struggling to find the right match to help out with my fully deaf, pitty mix. She was struggling with leash reactivity, pulling, not being a great walker, and general anxiety around other dogs. From the first session I knew Ulysses was going to be a great fit. He really takes the time to tailor each session to the dog’s needs.
He is beyond patient, and knowledgeable, and most importantly my dog LOVED him. She was very timid about the sessions at first, but by session 3 or 4, you could tell she finally built up that trust and was so excited to see him every week.
I was also super nervous to have her in doggy daycare and play groups after a bad experience at a dog park. But, by the end of our sessions we have now started to re-enter that type of socialization. I seriously didn’t think my dog would ever have the confidence to be in those environments again.
Can’t recommend Ulysses enough!!! He will make you and most importantly your dog feel beyond comfortable.
