Precision K9's

I was within hours of a meet and greet to rehome my German Shepherd because she was killing my chickens. I was devastated because she came to me as a stray.... skinny, and full of ticks. The night before the meet and greet I couldn't stop crying because I had to give her up. My husband said let's keep her and try to figure out what to do. I tried on my own to train her to leave them alone and she would for a while and then when I began to trust her again, she would kill one. I contacted KnJs Shepherd Haven that I was working with to rehome her; to let them know I cannot give her up and they were very understanding. The owner gave me Taylor's number of Precision K9 Training, and I called her the next day. I brought Riza a couple days later for Taylor to evaluate her and she ended up keeping her for intense training. Riza was there for several weeks. Taylor would text me on her progress and send me video's that I appreciated. Thankfully, Taylor also has chickens, so she was able to train her specifically with them. When the day came for me to pick her up, Taylor worked with me and Riza on commands so I could continue with the training. She even came to my house the following week to see how we were doing. Riza is a new dog! She knows all the basic commands and I even had her in the chicken run with the young pullets for her to get used them. Her command was "down" and "leave" and she would stay in that position until I commanded "free" and she would then get up and I would let her out of the run. I just want to say that I am so thankful for Taylor and the training that she instilled in Riza. Don't give up on your dog if you are having problems with their prey drive! Especially, with shepherds, they are so darn smart and very eager to please you. I highly recommend Precision K9's for training your dogs! Thank you, Taylor!
