Prairiefire Chesapeakes

There are very few people I’d trust with our girl - these guys made the list. The team at Prairie Fire Chesapeakes has gone above and beyond each and every time. The training and the care and the love they have for these dogs goes above and beyond the expectation each and every time. We get an amazing, obediently trained dog for the house and my husband gets a hunting dog that performs well in the field.

It has been a year since our Lily had puppies with Moses. I can say nothing but good things from this experience. My husband wanted to breed his girl. After considering many studs, we saw Moses run at a few tests and liked what we saw. We did a little research and reached out to TJ at an AKC hunt test in which both of our dogs were running in the Master series. His wife Lori was there as well and we decided together this would be a good breeding. TJ and Lori were both very helpful in our process as we are not professionals but wanted what was best for the Chesapeake breed. As it was close to the "Grand" and Moses needed to have his head in the game we decided on an AI. My husband drove to Kansas for the breeding, AI surgery, with Prairiefire Chesapeakes' recommended vet. All went well and a year later, with Lori and TJs following us on facebook there are 10 Chesapeakes doing well in training, hunting, and as family members.
