Practical Obedience LLC - Custom Dog Training

My wife and I wanted a team approach to training our new puppy, and we found it with Practical Obedience! Shana was assigned as our trainer for our new puppy, Hank, and she is incredibly professional! The staff at PO are skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate . . . not just for your dog but the owner(s) as well! The time and effort put forth at a young age makes all the difference for the dog. We are beyond impressed, and while we still have a lot of work to do to meet our goals, Hank would never have the gentlemanly manners without PO! This is, paws down, a fantastic team, and they are with you throughout your dog's life.

If your dog likes to bark, jump, or react in ways you would prefer it not to, I wholeheartedly recommend Maggie at Practical Obedience and the Reactive Rover program. My dog is strong willed, but she has a huge heart. She struggled with reactive behavior when encountering other dogs on walks, when seeing people outside our home, when spotting a squirrel, or even when our neighbors would change their outside decorations. The Reactive Rover program focuses on positive reinforcement techniques, which aligns with my values as a pet owner. I had one-on-one coaching sessions with Maggie, followed by coaching sessions with helper dogs. We even brought the receptionist in for a quick training moment. Each session was followed up with a comprehensive email from Maggie, detailing everything we had covered, and how to continue training after leaving the session. This program has made a huge impact on my dogs behavior in a positive way and I highly recommend it!
