Positive Response Dog Training

Amazing experience - this is our 4th Labrador Retriever but we found ourselves in unfamiliar territory. Our pup is very strong willed and was ‘mouthier’ than usual. Our typical training methodologies were not working and frustration set in. A friend recommended Positive Response to us. I called on a Sunday morning and Jim responded within 30 minutes. I explained our situation and immediately felt as though we were a team & that he could help us. After one session, there was marked improvement for our pup and for us! I knew we were on the right path and had an instance connection with Jim. He was patient and encouraging. I asked a million questions and he answered every one. We would highly recommend Jim and Positive Response Dog Training. He’s the best!

Jim was absolutely fantastic, his initial response to our call was quick and informative. I have a two year old Great Pyrenees. She's about 100 pounds, extremely strong, and can be stubborn at times. I was having issues with her jumping on people, mild aggression towards strangers (jumping, barking in their face), and possessiveness with the house (excessive barking at ANY sound). Jim came, worked with her (and us) in a two hour session, the next weekend there was an AWA 5K outside our home and she did not bark once, there were hundreds of dogs that walked by!! It's been a steady progression of her doing better and better. We cannot thank Jim enough for his help with our best friend, Kipo!

We are so happy to have met Jim. We sent our 1.5 yr shepherd Rosie for 2 week training with him and she really excelled under his care. She is now responsive to our communication, especially around leash aggression with other dogs and excessive barking, we trust her completely off leash and she feels more trusting of us, and she is absolutely wonderful at work with us. Jim has a clear love for what he does along with a deep understanding of canine behavior. His skill of non verbal communication with the dogs has taught us how to yell and repeat ourselves less, communicate better with Rosie and instill more respect and trust in our relationship with her. Beyond his skill with dogs, Jim is just a great human. We enjoyed meeting him, appreciated his time, loving care with Rosie, and responsiveness. Thanks, again :)

We have a 7 mont Dane/Corso rescue puppy. He’s the sweetest dog, but a big boy! We got him at 4 months, my wife and I both work full time and realized we were going to need help training him before he got too big. Positive Response was recommended to us by a mutual friend and it has been one of the bed things we could have done! The pup is beautifully trained! Walks without pulling, goes to his place, basically very well behaved… and he’s still a fun rollicking puppy! Definitely recommend Positive Response for a happy pup and happy house!

Amazing training. My dog is a Lab/Pit mix. He is very territorial and aggressive towards anyone who comes to our home. When Jim arrived at our home and the way he approached meeting Duke was amazing. He spent hours with us. He began by teaching us best practices and also worked with Duke so much. Since that time Duke is doing much better. We still have work to do but we are definitely better off with the help from Jim. EXCELLENT
