PLAY! K9 Academy

Our experience with Nina and Play! K9 Academy has been amazing! We tried other trainers, but they just weren't working out. Loki, our 4 year old Labrador Retriever struggled with confidence, demanding behavior, and reactivity toward new dogs and people. Walks were especially difficult, as she would often freeze when seeing other dogs. After the 3 week board and train program, the improvement has been incredible. Loki came home more relaxed and level-headed. She listens better and has made huge progress with seeing other dogs/people on walks. Huge shout out to Nina - she is an excellent trainer! We’ve continued with Saturday group classes, which are a great way to train around other dogs, and we’ve also completed 3 out of 4 private sessions. We met Nina at Home Depot yesterday and I could not believe how well Loki did — no reactivity toward people and great listening. That experience alone made me feel so much more confident handling her in public places. We highly recommend Nina and this program to anyone dealing with reactivity, confidence issues or anything else. It has truly been life changing for both Loki and us!

Above and Beyond Dog Training with Heart! Our family couldn’t be more thankful for Nina and her incredible dedication to our two boys, Brody and Murphy. Murphy recently completed a three-week onboard training program, in which we were able to recognize more problems than we had anticipated, and Nina went above and beyond to set him up for long-term success. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly in tune with the feelings and personalities of each dog she works with. Murphy, our four-year-old pit mix, needed a trainer with both a firm hand and a compassionate heart — and Nina delivered. He’s happier, healthier, and even shed some extra weight through the process. Brody has gained so much confidence too, and it’s clear both dogs feel more balanced and fulfilled. Nina hasn’t just trained our dogs; she’s been working with us as owners, helping us grow in our own handling and communication skills. Her group classes every Saturday morning are phenomenal, and the fact that she continues offering support and group training for free speaks volumes about her generosity and passion for what she does. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and gives her all to help your dogs (and you) succeed, I can’t recommend Nina enough. She’s a blessing to our family — and to every pup lucky enough to train with her. It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are!

PLAY K9 has the kind of trainers you are lucky to have by your side. After trying out lots of trainers with no luck, Nina with PLAY K9 has helped our boy grow leaps and bounds in a short amount of time in reactivity, obedience and confidence. After taking the group classes, I can confidently say Nina knows how to deal with every breed, age, temperament and need. She is truly a gem. HIGHLY recommended!!!!
