Pinnacle K9

Having worked with Pinnacle K9 and their dedicated team from October 2023- February 2024, our family sends their wholehearted gratitude. Our girls, Kiara (7yr old Aussie Ridgeback mix) and MaiLynn (6yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback), are both intact, had no experience with boarding, and were displaced for months after our home chimney fire. Yet still, the girls have maintained good health and spirits while in PK9’s care. They were provided a room together with the options of separate raised beds, grooming when not too cold outside, and they are allowed to use a dog door to the outdoors anytime during the day. Our trainer, Bethany worked diligently to build a solid bond with the girls and with the direction the kennel owner Chris, they both maintained a beautiful education for us as well with their training methods. The facility provides an ever-growing agility arena for me enjoy the girls on site when I was able to visit and the team was very accommodating to lend their training equipment, such as distance collars, when the girls would stay with us for a short visit. Photos and keeping in touch via text has kept our minds at ease as well that there were activities keeping the girls healthy and stimulated while on such an extended stay. PK9 worked with our homeowner’s insurance to secure terms of agreement in a chaotic time for us and took precautions to ensure all the animals were safe as well as medically sound. Being one of the few kennels in our area, we are so blessed to have such a dedicated team running it with a facility I’m very excited to see continue serving well when we return!

Off hand I would say if you value your dogs health, DO NOT bring them to this facility. I spoke with Chris (I guess he's the owner). I was very specific about the questions I asked about the care my dogs would receive. His answers were very vague and evasive. When I asked him about the recent controversy regarding a dog that had died as a result of <alleged> neglect from there, he outright lied to me and said they had never had that dog in their care. When I started checking their reviews, I read the post where they got a letter from the state of Colorado talking about the specific dog I had asked about. I also read their form letter type responses to any bad reviews they receive. They will immediately deny any knowledge of having the person as a client, and then in the same response they have a litany of excuses as to why it was essentially the dogs fault, the owners fault, etc. They totally contradict themselves. In a nutshell, these people will lie through their teeth to get your business and avoid any and all accountability for their incompetence. I got a really bad impression from them so I decided to keep my fur babies safe and go elsewhere. I would strongly recommend everyone else to do the same.

Pinnacle K9 has a very friendly and caring staff. They have an amazing training program that our puppy is currently going through. Our puppy has a very strong work drive and going to Pinnacle K9 has definitely been a great help in keeping her busy and happy. The care that they put into their training and boarding facility is awesome. The owner has shown integrity and thoughtfulness every step of the way. I look forward to continue working with them in the future as my daughter wants our pup to eventually do agility training.
