Mark, sorry to see the review on Google. Typically, as messaged previously before you brought your dog, we have a dog huntable after 4 to 6 weeks work. Your dog was here for 2 weeks. We did the bird introduction, went to working on scent pointing birds through the use of homing pigeons and chukar. Your dog responded better to chukar than pigeons, which I have to charge for my purchase price. We also started gun conditioning with her at the same time as working on field handling and collar conditioning at same time. Typically touching base every week or two is typical. Daily updates or updates every couple days are really unnecessary as dogs progress through training there isn't much to report on in that short of time frame. Yes we did message 3 times during your dogs stay, after 4 to 5 days and after 8 or 9 days. We also reached out to you after on day 2 or 3 about her after drop off. Yes the 2nd and 3rd time of messaging in the 14 days you reached out to us first and I replied within a few hours each time with her status of what we were doing and what had been accomplished at that time. If you want to discuss further over the phone, I would be glad to. For having her 2 weeks we did all we could with her just as any other dog here. Sorry if there was any misunderstanding with her training and what a dog can accomplish within a 2 week time frame. At pick up we verbally went over where she was at in the training process and that she was going to come back and finish up. When we have the dog complete we go over everything from handling and field work. In our messages both times we indicated that she was doing fine and progressing well as normal and for a dog of her breed. At pick up you showed up without a scheduled pick up time, it was mid to late afternoon and I was on my way to pick up a order of dog food that had to be picked up before they closed at 5 p.m. I turned around and came back to meet you for pick up. I apologize if it was rushed as your arrival for pick up wasn't scheduled or planned for and I had another obligation already. Typically on dog send home days, the time is scheduled just as drop off day. The time is scheduled for when the temperature and conditions are safe for the dog to be worked, performance wise and benefit the dogs ability in scenting ect. When you picked her up it was 90° plus and humid. Again I will gladly discuss further with you via phone if you would like and schedule a time again. It's important to us to see the dog succeed and the transition home goes well when we have completed training. Just being transparent of things on our end. Thanks, Chad
