Philadelphia Dog Training Club

I can’t say enough great things about the Philadelphia Dog Training Club. The level of knowledge, structure, and support from the instructors is exceptional, whether you’re just starting out or working toward advanced obedience titles. The club creates a welcoming environment while still maintaining high training standards. The instructors truly care about both the dogs and handlers, and they take the time to give thoughtful, individualized feedback. It’s clear they’re invested in helping every team succeed. I’ve personally seen incredible progress in my dog through their programs—from foundational skills to more advanced work—and the community aspect makes it even better. Everyone is encouraging, knowledgeable, and passionate about training. If you’re serious about building a well-trained dog and becoming a better handler, this is the place to be. Highly recommend to anyone in the Philadelphia area.

I have been a member of PDTC for 18 months and can say that it has been a fantastic experience. I started with puppy kindergarten and have continued through the advanced level. The instructors all have years of experience both as dog owners and trainers. Every dog (and owner) has its own personality and they are able to help you learn how to best work with your dog. Whether you just want to have a great relationship with a well behaved family dog or are interested in competing at the highest level, PDTC has a class for you. I would highly recommend them.

We have been going to PDTC with our several poodles over the past 20 years. The training experience throughout these years has been truly exemplary of the best training practices,,,,,focusing on positive motivational and reward philosophy and interventions of corrections when necessary to aid in producing well rounded and confident dogs, the teachers have been wonderful highly knowledgeable compassionate patient and reassuring to us as dog owners. Not only have our dogs benefited greatly, we as owners have learned skills and a language contributing training and well being of our beloved pets. We took a break for a while between dogs and rejoined again a couple years ago when we got another puppy. She was great mostly but noticed that she may have been a little under socialized and had some fears . we hadnt faced this before and needed help. Started in puppy class with Carol whom i knew from other classes through the years. i was so happy to connect with her again. She saw the best in our dog and helped bring it out.......and she went from a shyness and reluctance around people to a more friendly and outgoing demeanor. The beginning of obedience lessons gave her more confidence. So grateful for this beginning process and Carols teachings and love and the devoted helpers that assisted us. We have moved on to more advanced classes now with Loretta with much success as she takes us through training and obedience exercises with amazing skill,patience,compassion and humor. Yes dogs have a sense of humor and while the classes are serious and respectful of accomplishments it is with joy and fun in our gathering together. You should see what she gets these dogs to do and how she trains us to be a successful part of that process. Along with her helper Dawn who by the way my dog adores and goes up to on her own....they make weekly class great for everyone. We keep coming back....we see results on many levels.
