Petco Dog Training

Both my wife and I were so excited to get our almost two year old dog into training. The first day of class our trainer Sierra had to cancel because she had a pet emergency. Although we were upset by the call we understood completely; fast forward two sessions later she calls out sick. Here we are the fifth training session 07/26/26 and Sierra called out sick again. We have only been able to attend 2/5 sessions. While we hope the trainer is ok, the class schedule is extremely inconsistent which is difficult for our dog's consistent training as well as our schedules. Our class time was 11:45 on Sundays and for each cancellation, we were notified 1-2 hours before the class started. I am very upset that our time was wasted and now I have to sign up for another class and invest more of not only my time but my wife's time to start the whole process over again. It's a real shame and frankly I'm extremely annoyed by the whole matter. 0/10 Work with a different trainer.

Terrible. The store is nice and clean the staff helpful. Although the training staff is rude, impolite and does not include all dogs in their lessons. For example there are 3 dogs in a class. All other dogs get to walk around and learn to socialize. Where as I’m told to stay in this tiny pen and to work with my dog by myself. Fine I do that at home. Then the trainer lets me know that my dog doesn’t get it isn’t smart. Extremely insulting. I’m not going back I’m losing money because after the 2 nd lesson no refund. I didn’t ask about a refund I simply read the policy. She is offensive and doesn’t include all the puppies.
