Petco Dog Training

To be fair we haven't actually had our first training yet, lol But the trainer was professional and you could tell he loves animals. We had our consult and he had our Husky listening to him in the first few minutes. Almost frustrating because she is SO stubborn with us lol. I have faith he can teach us, too. I detest harming animals for any reason and this is a truly gentle training. No shock or choke collars, no stupid hitting them w your fingers and calling it technique. Only reward and withdrawal of reward. And again, she was listening within minutes. He even got her to stay seated while he walked a few feet away which is pretty unheard of. He made me feel confident in our ability to learn together and I can't wait to get started. No pushy sales and literally a 3rd of the price of places that will scare your dog for 6 weeks and call them trained. Sorry, but I don't think an animal being afraid to do something wrong is trained-I think that's abuse. I spent one day with another place who uses collars and intimidation and my pup was so scared she wouldn't take treats so they couldn't even use a reward. Never again. I can't handle how upset she looked all while looking at us practically begging to get her out of there but too scared to run to us. I only wish the class was starting this week instead!!
