How do you guys do your training, like do you keep the dogs for x amount of time? And another question I have is do you do on and off leash training?
When it comes to basic training for a dog that lives at a home with their family, and you want to work on things like digging jumping barking potty training. Then sending the dog away to 'get trained' won't change a single thing. Dogs give what you get and if you want to change the dogs behaviors you have to change your own With that being said to answer your questions more specifically. Petco trains the owners while the dogs are present for examples and assessments, so you can take that info home and work on it daily for a week before the next class session where you will take the training further. Petco does their training on leash to avoid incidents with other people or dogs. Some locations may have the ability to use an area where off leash is allowed due to it being separate. And it also depends on trainer ability, a lot of petco trainers are well trained even beyond petcos given training
