This review is for the store's trainer, Ricky! I got a 6 month old American Bulldog puppy in November 2019 that is great on leash but a little psycho when she sees other dogs, she's also very cautious around strangers and a little fearful of new things. Ricky saw her behavior when a dog walked past us in the store and immediately identified it as resource guarding and gave me some tips to help with walks..so I signed my little "resource guarder" up for training that day. Ricky has helped TREMENDOUSLY! He is patient, he worked with her anxieties and even helped me pick out toys (power chewer). When he schedules your training class, he takes your dog's personality into consideration and works with your availability. For example, my puppy weighed 60lbs at 6 months old with dog aggression issues so she wasn't going into a class with 10 lb puppies or dogs who were overly social...and I really appreciated that. Little things like that are why Ricky gets all the stars! So take your puppy to Petco on Josey Lane for training 😁
