We love PuC! They take the time to really understand your dogs and what their needs are. When we adopted a new pup who had some socialization issues, we were completely lost and had no idea where we could take him. We were so happy to find Pet-u-Cation! Right away they helped us see the situation through the eyes of our pup so we could learn to help him, rather than be frustrated. They provide a safe environment to ease into socialization. We trust the trainers there to keep him safe and have seen so much progress in a short amount of time! Our reactive pup is learning to trust other dogs and greet them. I really am not a fan of leaving bad reviews, but in this instance I think it is justified. I have heard awesome things about the trainers at Pet-U-Cation and REALLY wanted to get my newest rescue into their reaction training/ socialization classes. I made the online profile, filled out all the information I could, got a few of the videos they requested, and scheduled a phone consultation for Dec 24th. I made myself available for the four hour window requested and never received a phone call. I waited a few days to reach out via email because of the holidays and I understand that people get busy. After a few more times of emailing back and forth and being promised someone would call me I sent an email on January 8th asking for Beth to please just let m,e know if they are to busy to bring in new dogs- that way I can find another place to go if necessary. I have yet to receive a response via email or phone call. Again, I have heard great things about the trainers at this location so I am quite upset at the poor management I encountered. I hope they don't let potential customers fall through the cracks often.

I was so excited to find a place where someone could help my buddy with some obediance training. My dog snaps at other dogs when he is on the leash and I really want to be able for him to meet other dogs. It was a little confusing finding out where to start but I figured it out and paid 50 for the evaluation. When I picked my dog up, she told me some results briefly and said she would upload videos on facebook and send me the results of his evaluation. I never received anything nor were the videos ever uploaded. I emailed them many times and finally got a video sent by email. I never received the other videos nor received the evaluation. I brushed it off as I know they just moved to the new location and are very busy. I went to the next step and scheduled a private session ($100). She spent over an hour with me and apologized I never received a link to my google drive folder and said she would make up for it. She said all my stuff should be on the google drive. I felt good and things were going to get better. Well, one week later and no link. I emailed, no response. I called and left messages, no response. I messaged the facebook page, no response. I tried again because I really felt they could help me. They just ignored me. I dont know what I did wrong. I was patient, polite, and eager to do ANYTHING they said to get my dog where he needed to be. I already put 2000 aside for the training, money they now lost.

I am so lucky I was referred to Pet-U-Cation, and cannot thank Savannah and the trainers enough for what they do! They are the absolute best, and know how to work with dogs and their individual issues. We rescued a cattle dog who had stranger danger and was reactive towards new people. On-site Rehab made a new dog out of her, and other training classes have help us reinforce heeling, recall, and leash manners. All the trainers treat the dogs as one of their own. Josie comes home tired and mentally stimulated from daycare. If you have any training issue or reactivity issue, Savannah and her crew will work with you and your dog to figure it out.

PetUCation is truly a special place, and we are SO thankful we found it. Prior to moving to the area(ish), we had done some critical obedience training after rescuing our pup, but he still had a long way to go and we wanted to continue working on his skills and specifically reactivity. Kona is very barrier reactive and sometimes leash reactive (and scary looking when he does), and lacks in some social skills though he is a big mushy sweetheart when he is comfortable. When I discovered PUC, I knew this would be the perfect place for Kona: training and daycare in one. We had been trying to work on his reactivity and socialization for awhile, but finding the proper situations was proving difficult; PUC is setup to help dogs like that succeed in safe situations. We started with the On Site Rehab training, and are progressing to daycare. Our past trainers have focused on teaching the humans how to act, but PUC takes it a step further in helping your pup to learn how to make good decisions and be comfortable. We love that PUC takes in some of the more challenging dogs and works with them in a structured social setting, which is not common. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often and participate in some of the other classes offered, but it is absolutely worth the trek. The trainers are amazing - they take the time to know your dog and use techniques that work for them and go at their pace. Having a larger reactive dog is hard, but we are SO happy with all the progress Kona has been making - he is so much better and confident/calm in public, he has made more progress in just a couple months than in the year we've had him before. We also love that he is able to make buddies and be part of a pack. He has even improved immensely with his intact aggression, which is something we had chalked up to never being able to do. PUC is absolutely worth the investment for you and your pup, good training is so important for a confident and happy life for both. Great trainers, great community.
