I've met with other trainers who supposedly specialize in "problem behaviors" but Elise is the first person who has approached my situation with empathy and a load of new ideas that are well-suited to my dog and his unique temperament. Most importantly, Elise is non-judgmental and easy to work with. Very happy to have found PBC, and would recommend them to anyone who has felt frustrated with traditional dog training.

Elise is just amazing. She has so much expertise and really spent the time to analyze my dog's aggressive behavior issues from a compassionate and holistic perspective, considering all the different potential causes. Then she didn't just work with my dog - her goal was to help me become more comfortable managing the behavior myself, teaching me techniques that I can use between visits to continue reinforcing the work she does. She obviously loves dogs (she has a bunch of her own) and it shows in everything she does. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Elise, Connor and their interns have exceeded our expectations working with our two Golden doodles. Each of our dogs is very different and Elise was able to identify their behavioral issues and create specific and effective training plans. My husband and I are very busy and we love that Elise offers day training packages so we don't have to waste time bringing our dogs to a training class. We saw positive results in our dogs' behavior extremely quickly and continue to see progress. We highly recommend Elise and everyone at Pet Behavior Consulting.

Elise and I have worked together over many years for a variety of reasons- from training my new, exuberant puppy to addressing the concerning behaviors of a dog I adopted that ended up being a resource guarder (she growled at us when she was eating, amongst other concerns). Elise gave us helpful and effective tips for these (and other) circumstances. She taught my wife and I how and when to shape behaviors, appropriate use of treats, and what types of behaviors to look for regarding a variety of concerns. I know my two dogs are more enjoyable to live with today as a result of her work. Friends often comment on how well-behaved they are and I know that most of this has to do with the good beginnings they had with Elise's excellent influence. I will use her services for any dog that I adopt in the future, it is a worthwhile investment.
