Pence K9

Sent out Waylon to Pence K9 in hopes of breaking some HORRIBLE habits & extreme anxiety. After 2 weeks he’s come home a changed dog. He learned all the commands & knows them better than I do. He went from being so anxious & nervous on walks that we literally couldn’t walk him to being able to sit off leash in public settings with little fear. Jason was wonderful at staying in communication the whole time & even helped us work through some stuff prior to him coming to stay. He sent photos & videos, was reassuring that everything was going okay & has been very encouraging & helpful with teaching me how to enforce the training now that he’s home. We’re excited for our follow up visits with him & can’t wait to watch waylon continue to learn & fully rid him of the anxiety he has. 12/10 would recommend.

We are incredibly happy with the service Jason and Pence K9 were able to provide us, having our dog professionally trained was well worth the price. Our new, younger GSD/Lab puppy Ash wasn’t getting along with our much older Rat Terrier mix to the point that they were beginning to fight on occasion. Ash was a very friendly and kind dog but his size and chaotic energy was putting our older dog on edge and he had little to no dog social etiquette when we adopted him. After we reached out to Jason he met with us at our home to assess the situation and we decided to send Ash to a 2-week training retreat. When we picked up Ash after the 2 weeks we were blown away by the progress both in his obedience and attitude. He is super eager to “work” for my wife and I now, always paying attention to what we are asking of him and trying to demonstrate his obedience. He is also more relaxed in general and we are able to calm him down quickly when he becomes overwhelmed or too excited. His bad behaviors have been nipped in the bud almost entirely, from leash pulling during walks to eating animal droppings outside. Perhaps the biggest change has been in the interactions between Ash and our older dog. We have full control over the situation at this point; Ash will ignore his “little” brother even when being directly antagonized, and he will stop whatever he is doing when we ask. I think our older dog has noticed the changes as well, because he is becoming more tolerant of Ash and not as quick to anger. Overall it has been an amazing experience and we would recommend Jason’s expertise to anyone in need of dog training!

I would definitely recommend Pence K9 if you are having training issues with your dog. My dog Andy had been to several training classes at pet stores, etc. The training Andy received at Pence K9 is the only program that has been effective. He was given boundaries and rules that he knows he needs to follow. You also receive all of the tools you will need to continue the training at home. Jason is very patient and always available to answer questions you might have after your dog is back at your home. He helps you to be a more confident and knowledgeable dog owner. I’m very pleased with Andy’s progress.
