Pence K9

We sent our sweet golden retriever Sunny to be off leash trained with Jason over the summer and we are so thankful! Sunny learned many new skills and was also able to have reinforced training on skills he already had. Jason helped Sunny with impulse control, obedience, and structure. Jason is wonderful with communication, feedback, and answers all the questions. We're so glad we did the training with Pence K9.

We picked up our two-month-old standard poodle in mid-February 2026 from a breeder and named him Benny. For the next few months, he stole our hearts – and became a loving but very strong-willed and often uncontrollable puppy. A good friend recommended we contact Jason at Pence K9 to have him trained. While meeting with Jason Pence and having him explain the training process and expected results, we made what has turned out to be one of the best possible decisions for our dog and us – to trust Pence K9 with training our unruly puppy. In mid-June we turned our often-uncontrollable puppy over to Jason for training and picked him up three weeks later. To our delight, Bennie was a changed dog. He was much calmer both with us as well as with other dogs – yet maintained his loving demeanor with us and others! During the initial 3-week training period and the 7-weeks since, Jason at Pence K9 has provided excellent support for us and we could not be more satisfied with the results of his training and look forward to a long life with Benny in our family. My dog went for training for just shy of 3 weeks with Jason. The biggest issues I had with my dog prior to training, were excessive pulling while out on walks, jumping on people when he went to say hello, and just overall stubbornness and not listening, (he’s a blue nose pitbull) After the 3 weeks, my dog now listens when I tell him to stay, doesn’t jump on people and on walks, he doesn’t pull but stays at my side. Now he does want to act out occasionally but if I use the commands Jason gave me, my dog will usually listen. If he’s being very stubborn I can use the E-collar provided. I’m sure with a little time I won’t have to remind him to do what I want and it will be automatic. Jason did very well training and kept me updated through out the process. Also the provided collar and bed are very nice. It was hard being away from my baby for almost 3 weeks but I knew he was safe and in good hands. I would highly recommend Pence K9
