Pawz-itive Dog Training

With dog training being an unregulated industry, it’s hard to know whether trainers are credible and even harder to put our trust in them to care for and train our beloved dogs. I can tell you with utmost certainty that Kate is the REAL DEAL. She has the knowledge and experience, and then still continues to fill her toolbox with new knowledge and build her skillset all for the betterment of our dogs and their success. But what I love most of all is that she truly cares about our dogs, and gives her heart and dedication to every dog and owner she meets. I could easily see from the first day I met her that this was more than just a job, this was her passion. For all those reasons and more, it is why her training program is successful and I will always trust her with my dogs and her training. I don’t say all this lightly, as anyone can claim they are a professional dog trainer, but I instantly saw with Kate her genuineness, care and intent she puts into her training with each dog. Her training truly stands the test of time and I will always be grateful for her expertise as a trainer and for her friendship.

We cannot recommend Kate and Pawz-itive dog training enough! After rescuing our extremely challenging puppy Kaya and not knowing how to handle her, we were considering rehoming her.. until we found Kate. We signed Kaya up for puppy bootcamp as our last stitch effort to make this work and thankfully it did! Kate was amazing. She knew just what Kaya needed and handled her with so much love and patience. We've learned so much from her and she's been there for us and Kaya every single step of the way. We're so grateful to have found her when we did and to be on the road to having the awesome family dog we always dreamed of. If you're ever considering rehoming a dog over challenging behavior definitely call Kate for rescue remediation. You'll be so so glad you did.

I can't say enough about how amazing Kate is! She helped me with not 1 but 2 rescue pups. Don't give up on your rescue pups if they are scared, or stubborn or just not on their best behavior! It's not that they WON'T listen to you, it's just that they aren't listening YET or maybe just don't' understand what you are trying to say! There are resources out there, one absolutely invaluable one being Kate at Pawz-itive! Her wealth of knowledge and understanding about dog behavior, even being able to pinpoint behavior you may not have mentioned yet and being able to predict behavior is insane. Kate helped me learn how to communicate with my dog Marley and get us both on the same page, she showed us methods to engage Marley and to teach her boundaries and build her confidence. I used to not be able to take her anywhere (to a restaurant or coffee shop) for more than a few minutes as she would get restless and start barking until we finally had to leave. After a 1 session with Kate and doing the homework, she gave us we were able to go listen to music for over an hour at Ann's Florist. Now we take her out for coffee several times a week and people comment on how well behaved she is! Kate also helped with a very nervous foster dog I had staying with me during hurricane Milton. After 1 hour of meeting her (Kate volunteered to come meet her same day, when I had just reached out only asking for advice over the phone. Thats how much she cares about and is dedicated to her work these pups!) She showed us how to work with boundary setting and separation anxiety. DD was noticeably more confident, and she left us with some invaluable information on helping DD transition to a new home. I can't recommend her enough! She is amazing!
