We cannot recommend Kate enough! We are so grateful that we found Kate to work with us and our very fearful and reactive dog, Orla. Our dog was a difficult case as she was kept tied to a tree the first 8 months of her life by her previous “owners” with 0 socialization and was extremely neglected. When we adopted Orla she was so scared and the only defense mechanism she knew was to react/bark/lunge/do whatever to protect herself. Kate taught us so much about caring for a dog like Orla - and about managing our dog’s very very big feelings and fears. She taught us how to build Orla’s confidence, how to fulfill Orla’s biological needs, and how to manage Orla’s reactivity so that we can give Orla the best life possible. We went from not being able to walk Orla during the day to being able to not only walk her during the day but to manage her feelings around her biggest triggers. Kate sees every dog as an individual and tailors her guidance to the dog’s specific needs. She also introduced us to our vet who is so patient with Orla and kind and caring. Kate knows what she is doing and is up-to-speed on all the latest research. We would have been so lost without Kate’s help and all the guidance she gave us. There are a lot of dog trainers but very few are as knowledgeable as Kate. Kate is most definitely the best dog trainer and best dog behavior expert in south Florida. I would (and have!) recommend her to anyone.

After about a year of searching for a positive reinforcement trainer for anxiety/agression, I found Kate, she has been helping me manage my dogs fear towards other dogs. Her lesson plans are so incredibly detailed and fit for your dogs specific needs. She truly cares and puts her best effort into her work. I have noticed a change in my dog, no other method has been able to provide results for him. Our walks have been more enjoyable, his attention span has improved and he’s been calmer and less reactive. I’ve noticed a better bond between us as well. The work she does is life saving for my dog. By making him a safer, more relaxed pup, I am also feeling a sense of control and less anxiety. I’m excited to see what the next level has in store for him! I cannot recommend her enough for all levels of training.
