Pawz 4 Peeps Dog Training

When we adopted our dog, Penny, from a shelter, she was two years old and we knew nothing of her history. She was extremely smart and affectionate but it became evident that she was also very territorial. We realized we needed help in helping Penny. Pawz 4 Peeps was recommended to us by a friend, and we are very grateful. Our training was focused on addressing our concerns and teaching us how to apply the training. Karey gave me tools like "Touch!" and "Look at me!" that I could use to get Penny to focus on me in tense situations, like encountering other dogs on a walk. She was able to get Penny's trust quickly and convinced Penny to allow her into "her" room. I was then able to use Karey's method to show our pet sitter how to do the same things and Penny allowed her into her room. Up until then, we couldn't use a pet sitter to be away from the house for several hours. Penny even allowed Karey to take her bone and give it back to her several times. Karey even gave us a way to interrupt the barking frenzy that erupted during Amazon deliveries! In the 3 or 4 weeks since our training, Penny seems to have become less territorial. She now allows our other dog to sleep in her bed and chew on her Nylabones, something that had previously provoked fights. She also seems less anxious - she has suddenly stopped chewing up things she's not supposed to. She seems to have relaxed and become more confident. I don't know if these things are related to her training, but they could well be. Karey went above and beyond - because Penny gets carsick, Karey drove 40+ miles to our home to help us. She has real concern for the dogs she trains and real talent for training them.

Karey trained our Airedale, Monte. What a difference it made in his behavior! Karey worked hard with our independent and stubborn fellow that she probably went through a whole bag of treats before the end of the session. Karey was patient and kind with Monte and with us. Karey also trained us on how to work with Monte to continue to reinforce his training. Highly recommend Karey. She is as good as gold!

After finding Paws 4 Peeps and our trainer Karey on Facebook, we were thrilled to have had an amazing experience over our three sessions with our dog Maggie. Both Maggie and ourselves learned so many more tools to help on walks, when meeting other dogs, and remaining calm in the house. We could see an immediate improvement in her behavior, and feel set for success moving forward with Maggie! Thanks Karey!
