Pawtopia Dog Training

Pawtopia Dog Training has been a lifesaver. I have several dogs and a few of them have issues I wasn’t able to handle on my own. I typically adopt senior dogs as I like the older ones, but I fell for a puppy and boy was I in for a world of surprises with her. She chews on everything, harasses my older dog, and steals my books. She also enjoys pulling me down the street while barking at passing dogs which is embarrassing because the owners give me a super judgmental look while they hurry to cross and get as far away from us as possible. She’s not out to hurt them but in all fairness, nobody wants to see a wild maniac charging toward them, I get it. On the recommendation of my veterinarian, I called Colleen at Pawtopia and after a few sessions, my dog and I are back on track. The pulling is under control with proper use of a harness, she no longer barks at other dogs, and those judgmental looks from the dog ladies in my neighborhood have turned to looks of envy as my pups now strut with dignity. It all came down to me understanding my dog and why she was doing what she was, and I learned to adjust my behavior and reactions. She now knows what I expect from her and knows the boundaries. The relationship I share with my dogs is night and day. Life is more enjoyable and the best part is we have built a bond through all the work we’ve done, the daily practicing.
