I would definitely recommend training with Bridget. We will be going to our sixth follow up training session today, and the leaps my dog has made are impressive. My dog has been very dog reactive and yesterday she was able to walk past a dog significantly larger than her and stay focused on me. Bridget's dog, Enya, is a super star at helping nervous dogs learn that it is safe to be around other dogs. Bridget has helped guide both me and my dog (mostly me) step by step on on how to build trust, communicate more clearly, and how to use the commands learned to keep my dog's focus on me instead of other dogs/people. I have learned so much about my own body language, what I am communicating to my dog, and how that will lead to certain behaviors. I am starting to pick up on my mistakes and correct them quickly in just five follow up sessions. We will complete our training with Bridget this week, but the tools we have learned will only continue to improve my dog's behavior in all aspects of life. Our walks are already easier. One thing that Bridget really helped me see is when my dog is testing the waters- my dog has a mischievous attitude and likes to see what she can get away with. In the past I have misinterpreted this as my dog not knowing what to do, but now I see that she knows! I appreciated the way Bridget uses positive reinforcement and corrective noises, as an owner of a nervous dog, I wanted to avoid trainers using any excessive force to get the dog to obey. I found the right trainer for my dog in Bridget.
