I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Melissa she has completely changed our lives. When we started training, Remi was scared of the world. She struggled with reactivity, fear, and resource guarding, and I honestly didn’t know if we’d ever get to a place of peace. She began class on a calming protocol and in a muzzle, and I remember wondering if we’d ever move past those things. But Melissa never saw Remi as “a difficult dog.” She saw her as a dog who was scared and needed patience, structure, and understanding. With every class, Melissa gave us hope teaching me how to see Remi’s triggers not as failures, but as opportunities to help her feel safe. Within a few classes, Remi no longer needed her medication. Before graduation, she no longer needed her muzzle. Watching her confidence grow has been one of the greatest gifts. Melissa also helped my other dog, Winnie, blossom in her own way. Winnie started off shy and unsure, but with Melissa’s gentle guidance she became more social, relaxed, and eager to learn. She found her spark the happy, confident version of herself that I always knew was there. And now… both of my girls are Canine Good Citizen graduates. 🐾🥹 Watching them walk through that test calm, confident, and proud brought me to tears. The dog who once barked out of fear and the dog who once hid behind me now stand tall, trusting the world and each other. Melissa didn’t just train my dogs she helped me understand them.
