Paws Up Certified Dog Training, Grooming & Daycare

I've been taking my dogs here for years; Jen is fantastic, and makes it a point to hire good staff. I've never had a bad experience at paws up; I brought my golden here for Jen's program 6 years ago, and more recently my Bernese for a similar program over this last year. Absolutely fantastic care, for everything I've experienced: training, grooming (my golden has arthritis in her paws and other groomers have had to muzzle her when they were too rough...), even day care. Never had any issues with other dogs being aggressive, and my pups were always well taken care of. One of the best places in the area. Jen is very knowledgeable and responsive, has answered every question I've had regarding training or general care (like tips on handling my pup's first heat!). Very grateful to have found paws up. 🥰

STAFF AND OWNERS ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY, OWNERS BEWARE! went for training and grooming and the trainer Erica for my class kept saying she didn't know when I would ask her questions, never got a direct answer, and she didn't help me at all with teaching my dog down stay to the point where she skipped multiple parts on the graduation test just so she could pass Bella and we ended the course without learning much and over $300 in the drain. During the training course (very expensive) I planned to use paws up as a facility for all my dogs care needs so we also tried grooming due to convenience sake. ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE AND INEXPERIENCED EMPLOYEE FOR GROOMING. Bella came home from grooming with her nails still very long (Why am I paying luxury prices to receive amateur quality?) and scrapes on her skin 😡😡😡 I tried as many services as I could stomach the bill for and both times I felt 1) overcharged and 2) not honored as a customer and pet owner. My dog is my family, not just another number for your books or a cute dog to play with. DO BETTER!!!

Kept pushing back my obedience class start date and would not refund the deposit despite making me and my dog wait several months to get into a class. would understand if it was my fault, but the business continued to cancel my class and reschedule it to days that do not work for me! In the mean time I had to train elsewhere for basic obedience and when I contacted paws up again to pursue an intermediate class since my dog received beginner's elsewhere they told me they can't let me use my deposit in a different class of theres without completing there beginners first... since i HAD to use my "non refundable deposit even in the event of owner's fault" of an absurd $150, I reluctantly decided to use Paws Up beginners course because it was made clear I'm NOT getting my almost $200 back.... Was not even worth it in the end. Their "training" consisted of a sheet of paper, one direction from the teacher, and then we spent over 20 minutes practicing "sit" while the teacher sat on her phone the whole time and then expected me to pay an ADDITIONAL $150 to complete the course. I could learn more through YouTube videos FOR FREE. I'm not the type to write low reviews at depth but I'm severely disappointed and had high expectations just to feel blindsided paying a luxury amount of money for subpar service and cookie cutter level curriculum. would not recommend
