We had the most incredible experience with Paws on the Ground Training during their 5-week program with our dog, Waylon. From day one, the team showed an amazing level of professionalism, patience, and genuine love for what they do. Waylon went into the program as a loving but unpredictable German Shepard. He had issues with anxiety, proper E-collar, Prong Collar and command usage. He was unpredictably aggressive and extremely Timid in new environments and or around new people. He had territorial aggression with food and a variety of locations he would frequently and lay claim to. Waylon came out confident, well-mannered, and so much more focused. The trainers took the time to really understand his personality and adjust the training to fit his needs. We were blown away by the progress he made each week! Not only did Waylon learn valuable skills, but we did too. The communication throughout the entire process was top-notch—regular updates, videos, and guidance so we could reinforce everything at home. It truly felt like a partnership, and they empowered us every step of the way. We can’t recommend Paws on the Ground Training enough. If you’re looking for a training program that is compassionate, effective, and truly transformational, this is the place. Waylon is happier, more confident, and thriving—and we’re beyond grateful. I can’t recommend this training enough. As a new dog mom, I was a little hesitant at first, but after a phone call and a meet-and-greet with Kristin, I felt completely confident. Her training principles, her obvious love for dogs, and her flexibility made it clear that my little girl would be treated like one of her own. Kristin was also amazing at communicating throughout the boarding. She shared updates regularly, which gave me so much peace of mind while my pup was away. My girl is naturally sweet, but she needed more structure; especially with neutrality leash walking, and her urge to pounce on every dog she saw. I also wanted her to feel confident on adventures and be reliable off leash without me worrying she’d dart off. After training, every one of those goals was met. I still have the same fun, goofy girl, but now she’s so much more manageable out in public. I’m truly grateful for the work Kristin does, and I love that she offers refresher courses, too. Highly recommend!

I honestly don’t have enough words for the level of care and training Kristen at POTG (St. Pete Location) gave our little chihuahua. We were so nervous about leaving him anywhere, but her reviews and videos convinced us to reach out — and I’m so glad we did. From day one, she was patient, kind, and genuinely invested in our pup. She even met with us beforehand and gave us a mini tour of the training space, which instantly put us at ease. Throughout his stay, she sent updates and videos that showed just how much attention she was giving him. And the results? Incredible. In just a few days, he was walking on a leash without wobbling side to side, finally understanding the “down” command, showed him how to stay in “place” while we ate without getting anxious (we wanted him to be calm during “people” dinner time), helped him stay calm during nail trimmings, maintained his potty training and overall so much more confident. He went in a nervous little chi and came out standing taller. 🥹 I also could tell he adored her! He literally kept looking back at her house as we drove away. We can’t wait to board with her again and bring him back for the adult program with someone he trusts 🥰
