Paws On The Ground Dog Training

Our two mini dachshunds were struggling with anxiety & reactivity and have recently completed a 3-week board & train with Kellen and Kenzi. Both of our girls are now crate trained and walking with much better leash manners, but we’ve also learned new ways to help manage and control their anxiety in everyday situations. Kenzi & Kellen truly took the time to understand each of our girls personalities and gave us the tools and confidence to continue their progress at home. Kenzi & Kellen are quick to answer any questions I have months after their program was complete. I was worried that our girls personality would change, but they are still our happy, quirky girls, just have a boost of confidence and manners! We cannot thank POTG enough!

After 3 weeks of training with Kellen and Kenzie, our young, rambunctious shelter rescue Sasha is much calmer, has better self-control and responds reliably when given commands. POTG was able to help Sasha with her high reactivity to other dogs so our walks are a lot easier and less stressful. Kellen and Kenzie also taught us how to manage other unwanted behaviors – their care and bonding with Sasha was obvious throughout the training. Violet recently completed a 3 week board and train program, and I’ve been really happy with the results. She’s noticeably calmer and much more responsive to commands. She still has her happy boxer energy, but she’s quicker to settle and much easier to guide when she gets excited. Walks have become much more enjoyable. If she she gets distracted or overly excited, she responds quickly to corrections and gets right back on track. Overall she seems more balanced and confident, and that makes me more confident handling her as well. The trainers were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly care about the dogs they work with.
