Paws On Learning

Ashley and her team are dedicated, extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Ashley is well experienced with training dogs. I highly recommend Paws On Learning. Our 11 month old Siberian Husky has attended her kindergarten and 2 additional programs with much success. We paid several thousand dollars in Charleston for a 2 week training/boarding program and let me say we had better results with Ashley in her kindergarten class alone than we did with the 2week training in Charleston. Our pup is much better with walking and performing common commands with Ashley’s guidance. She is great to work with and loves her clients. You will not be disappointed!

Ashley Douglas is the owner and main trainer at “ Paws on Learning”—she has this amazing sense about her, where she really understands dogs and seems to know what dogs are thinking about and they are so responsive to her. My 1 year Havapoo , Havana, has been training with Ashley for 9 months now and I’m very pleased with her progress. One day recently when I went to pick up her up, I was both shocked and a little nervous, well at least at first I was—-there was my little dog quietly sitting in “ place” on a rug in the middle room, while Ashley was working a few feet away from with a young Doberman Pincher. Ashley was in complete control and that dog listened to everything she told him to do and my dog was totally relaxed and just sat watching -I found that pretty amazing. See Photos below

I came here for specific behavioral training for my dog Boomer. He is a very fearful dog, particularly when it comes to going to the vet. Ashley listened to my concerns and was extremely knowledgeable and professional in addressing Boomer's fears. She not only trained Boomer but she also trained me in how I can better support my dog to work through these fears. Her attention extends even beyond the classroom - she's checked in on us and held me accountable as well even after our sessions ended! While Boomer is by no means "fixed" (that's an unrealistic expectation), Ashley gave us the foundation and tools we need to improve and train at home. I have seen many trainers since I adopted Boomer however when you are dealing with behavioral conditioning or modification they are not all equal (or even qualified). That being said, Ashley was hands down been the best behavioral trainer we have seen. We did not participate in the obedience sessions but I have no doubt those are exceptional as well. Thank you Ashley for everything!!

We highly recommend Ashley and her staff. We love the concept of dropping off Maho in the morning at her indoor training center for her to have personal training during the day and then when we pick her up and we either have individual or group training. Ashley is the most knowledgeable instructor we have ever had and she truly cares about each pup as if it was her own. The transformation from day 1 to now is truly incredible. Your pup will thank you for finding such a wonderful trainer and staff. Worth every penny!!!
