Paws On Learning

Ashley and Paws On Learning saved our relationship with our new rescue dog. We recently rescued a dog who was found on the streets of Savannah and he came with lots and lots of problems emotionally. Weare pretty sure a woman had abused him because he loved my husband immediately but was very aggressive towards me. Ashley listened to us and was very helpful in teaching us skills to help him relax with us and helping us relax with him. The training she uses is very positive treat-based training and our dog came to like me because he associates me with food and treats. A more aggressive approach didn’t work with him...he just got angrier and angrier but with Ashley‘s approach he is a different dog after just three sessions over a three week period of time. We will continue to practice the exercises she taught us and hopefully by the time he has been in our family for three months he will feel welcomed and at home. she offers follow up training to her existing customers and we may take advantage of that after we continue to practice the basic skills we learned. She was very responsive via email when we had questions we are grateful to Ashley and her expertise and her staff is great too.

Ashley is a great trainer. She did a great job with my seven month old doodle and even more importantly, she trained me on how to work with my pup. She’s really responsive and VERY accommodating - working with my schedule and everything my pup and I needed to be successful. I had never worked with anyone for dog training before and I am very grateful to have had my first experience be such a positive one with Ashley and Beata. My doodle is happier and more confident now, and he understands what I’m asking for more now - she did all the hard work to help us be a better pair. Thank you so much Ashley!

Our rescue dog had had a hard life by the time we adopted her at 4 years old. We brought her to Paws on Learning to help her be less frightened and for some basic training. We also discovered how stubborn Libby is, yet Ashley worked with her and gave us a lot of advice on how to improve her behavior. Libby will always be stubborn and shy, but she's well-behaved and much less timid. We highly recommend Paws on Learning to help us learn to be good owners!!
