I am so glad I took my dog Benny to private sessions with Hollie! I got Benny as a rescue and he had been adopted out and returned twice for aggression before I got him. Hollie helped me work with him to overcome his nervousness which is what was causing his aggression. He's so much happier and not as nervous around people. Also the rates were so reasonable and the training methods do not include a shock collar. I had been looking for private training and other people clearly had making money as their first priority, but at Paws and Claws the first priority is you and your dog's education and happiness. They make dog training accessible!

Bringing my extremely high energy American Pitbull/ Boxer mix pup to Hollie and James's classes has been life changing! They are so knowledgeable about dog behavior and effective training methods and do an incredible job sharing this important information with their clients. Not only do they teach dogs good manners, but they teach owners how to be better dog owners. Some human reactions actually encourage unwanted behaviors from dogs or make the learning process more difficult for them. With their guidance I learned how to alter my behavior to create an environment where my dog can learn and thrive! They undoubtedly made me the dog mom I want to be and helped my pup be the sweet, well behaved, pup he is today! Otis also loves going to see his teachers and classmates, as soon as I say "school" he runs to the door and wags his tail while sitting patiently for me to pack up the car! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!!
