Paws in Motion Dog Training & Boarding, LLC

I made a Facebook post seeking recommendations for a trainer to work with my 2 year old Lab/Aussie/Collie mix, Iverson and couldn’t be more grateful to have heard about the PIM board and train program! I spoke with Christina about my pup’s problem behaviors and our goals moving forward, she assured me it was all obtainable while describing my options of lessons and board and train packages. Ultimately I decided to do a 3 week board and train which covered the basics and a couple advanced commands of our choice. I am a fur parent to one so as you can imagine, I wanted to make sure Ivy was getting all the tender love and care as he normally does, while still learning how to adapt to a structured routine with training. After just a phone call with Christina, I felt comfortable that she would provide Ivy with the utmost experience, though I was still wanting to meet in person and see her facilities. We scheduled a time to meet and were able to introduce Ivy and Christina, as well as her “nanny” dog, Prince, who she has help assist in a “monkey see, monkey do” format with training. I was greatly impressed with Christina’s fenced in acreage and board and train kennels that Ivy would be staying in. It was summer time and in the 100s when I sent him, so it was a relief to know the kennels have ac and would be cleaned daily! I could tell after seeing them myself, she makes sure the dogs’ living conditions are well kept! Prior to our drop off date, Christina emailed a contract with all the information we would need so we felt prepared for drop off. Throughout Ivy’s board and train, Christina was consistently in contact, sending training updates with pictures and videos that assured me of Ivy’s wellbeing and progress! Upon pick up and after watching Ivy’s compilation video, we were shocked at his transformation (check her youtube channel!) To further explain the problem behaviors that were redirected and goals achieved, here is the list I sent Christina: Problem Behaviors: (no particular order) -Doesn't stay in command (breaks a sit, down, heel, doesn't stay in stay) -Pulls on leash to get to new sniff spot, other person, dog, or wild animal -Whines when he sees other dogs -Demand barking for attention, ball or not getting to immediately meet a friend that comes over -Jumping up on people -Ignores recall -Acts on impulses (squirrel or other dog in distance) -overall gets too worked up to do anything -stealing toys from other dogs and playing keep away Goals: (no particular order) -Leash awareness/walking comfortable at my pace -100% recall -relationship of trust -understand and stay in a heel/heel off leash -understand a break command as a release -place command and staying in it until released -neutral/calm greetings with other people and dogs -ignoring distractions and main focus on me -working with an e collar to obtain these goals Christina was able to introduce Ivy to an “off” command that when paired with an e collar stimulation basically stops all unwanted behaviors such as jumping on guests, running toward squirrels, eating something he shouldn’t. In her facility she was able to work with Ivy around her other board and train clients to assist in Ivy’s socializing skills, and ability to give his focus to the handler vs distractions like other dogs, people, or wild animals. She warned us that after his training and throughout transitioning back to our care at home, Ivy may try to revert back to his ways and test our boundaries. Christina highly suggested that we continue training and uphold the same boundaries she did to aid in success. It has been a little over 2 months since Ivy’s stay with PIM and we couldn’t be happier with our relationship with him now. We are now able to comfortably walk him on or off leash in busy environments with distractions and solid focus on us. Our lives are changed for the better! Overall, I cannot recommend PIM dog training enough, she is the best! I hope this review gives you the confidence to seriously consider working with Christina!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the dog training and boarding services at PIM and I must say, it was a game-changer for both my Labrador Tesla and me. What sets PIM apart is their incredible approach to training, led by Christine, who uses Everyday life scenarios to teach valuable skills to our four-legged companions. Instead of relying solely on traditional obedience drills, Christine incorporates everyday life scenarios into the training process. This approach not only makes the training more engaging and practical but also equips dogs with the skills they need to navigate everyday situations successfully. She tailors her training sessions to the unique needs and personalities of your dog. She never rushes through her classes, always taking the time necessary to ensure that your dog grasps the concepts being taught. I also experience their boarding services. During Tesla’s stay, it was evident that she genuinely cared for the well-being of my boy. The facility is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Regular updates and photos of Tesla’s activities reassured me that he was in good hands. Christine, thank you for providing Tesla with exceptional care and training that has not only enriched our pet's life but ours as well. PIM truly is our boarding for life.

I have used the training as well as the boarding services offered by Paws in Motion. Both services are top notch. My lab had a great experience and he didn’t want to leave. The facility is a ranch setting allowing for open space, fresh air, and plenty of space to stretch the legs. Christina introduces her canine friends to new experiences allowing for behavioral training as well as socialization. I will continue to be a customer and I strongly recommend Paws in Motion.

Christina of Paws in Motion is absolutely incredible! We’ve had nothing but incredibly pawsitive experiences with her! We were admittedly skeptical after a bad experience with another trainer however Christina instantly made us feel comfortable, heard our concerns and actually listened to what we needed help with as opposed to other trainers who feel like they are following a cookie cutter prompt! We loved working with her so much with our first dog that she was our first call when we rescued our second. We loved working with her so much that we recommended her to some friends who wanted to do off leash training with their pup who has had leaps and bounds of changes! I would absolutely 10/10 recommend working with Paws in Motion with your dog!
