Melissa is an absolutely wonderful trainer. Not only is she very knowledgeable but she also helps tweak and improve training styles to best suit your dog. She is helping me train my service dog in training and I couldn’t have done it without her. My girl is progressing very nicely in the 5 months we’ve been training together and has learned the essential skills like recall, sit, down, stay, leave it, all while giving great environmental skills so she listens to me in all situations. On the service dog side of things, she is actively teaching us various skills like cardiac/seizure scent work, item retrieval, tucking, circling, heel work, walking backwards, going into middle and more. This is all being done with my dogs breed as a cane corso in mind to help us strive for the best and also keep into consideration the breeds characteristics. Cane corsos are known to be stubborn, territorial, protective and more yet Melissa knows exactly how to handle her in the most effective way while giving me tips to manage and redirect her natural tendencies. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would.
