Paws from Heaven Dog Training

Hiring Melissa and her team has been the best decision we made after getting a puppy. We added a 8week old puppy to a home with an older dog which was entirely a new experience to us and was understandably a handful but from the start she has made the entire process logical and easy with how she systematically does training. Not only has our puppy (now almost 2years old) become so well behaved we take her anywhere and everywhere both on and off leash, she also helped us with our reactive 11year old dog teaching us new and better ways to manage her behavior. We sincerely never thought we would get anywhere with training our older dog after using a different trainer, and we were happily wrong and it has been a world changing delight. The peace of mind my husband and I have to know we have control of both our dogs in any and all situations, at home and out and about is priceless. We will be maintaining our training with Melissa for the foreseeable future and also be recommending her to anyone interested in listening. Additionally after each session she sends us a customized document reviewing what was learned and done that day, this has been crucial because we can reference it whenever we need. Lastly when we go on trips, short or long, Melissa has been able to watch our dogs(and cat) in our home. We have a dog that requires regular medication and it put me at ease with Melissa’s extensive experience my dogs get well taken care of while I’m gone.

Melissa is amazing. We have a terrier mix rescue and six months ago adopted an 8 year old former breeding golden doodle named Red that had little contact with people and was anxious in her new surroundings and freedom. She was fine with us but whenever friends came to visit Red would growl. Any movement by our visitors prompted additional growing and barking. A friend suggested Melissa and Paws from Heaven. Melissa came over and after the first lesson Red became more comfortable. Red was never trained how to sit/stay/come or go to place/spot and now she is well trained. Much more importantly when we have visitorws to our house we tell Red to go to her place/spot and she goes there and lies down. Red is much more comfortable and happy with more structure and doesn't growl or bark at our friends! Melissa is amazing with dogs, even old tougher ones like ours, and I strongly recommend her to anyone who has small or large issues with their dogs. Thanks Melissa!
