Paws Forward Training

We hired Patrick to help train our two one year old miniature dachshunds who were having a hard time adjusting to a new and busy environment in Ocean City for their first Summer. Patrick was so great to work with and the dogs improved significantly over just just six training sessions. Patrick was very knowledgeable and very good at helping to teach our family tricks and tools needed to train the dogs. The dogs used to pull me and bark at everything and everyone on walks and now they are so enjoyable to take for walks. They have also significantly improved when people come into our home and are much more attentive and calm.

Patrick is like a dog whisperer! I have 2 mixed breed dogs. 1 is 7 years old, the other is 1 1/2. We’ve had several dog trainers and Patrick is the only one who was able to fix the issues we struggled with. I wasn’t able to walk both dogs together because one had major separation anxiety from the other and 1 is afraid to walk and pulls. I’m thrilled to say I can successfully walk both together with no issues! It’s amazing. Patrick will tell you the first session trying to walk both we didn’t make it to the bottom of my driveway. Before we completed our sessions we were all walking together beautifully. He also helped restore calm in my house as my puppy is very reactive and very high energy which gets my 7 year old upset. Now mornings are calm, when people come over I’m able to have the dogs wait patiently without rushing the door and jumping on my guests. It’s amazing. I highly recommend Patrick!

We can’t say enough good things about Patrick—he’s been amazing with our puppy, Maisie! As brand-new dog parents, we’ve learned so much practical and helpful training thanks to him. Having him come to the house made such a difference, especially when it came to creating a routine and figuring out how to redirect and interrupt behaviors (like Maisie trying to play a little too enthusiastically with our cat!). Highly recommend Patrick to anyone looking for great, hands-on support!
