Our small class sizes offer a more personalized approach, taking you from the moment you bring your new puppy home, through becoming an AKC Canine Good Citizen. Excellent hands on training. Highly recommend!
Julie is amazing. My chihuahua, Stella, was a stubborn, crazy pup. After a couple private session she was able to help me potty train Stella and help her walk on a leash better. She’s very knowledgeable and patient. She also taught me how to do it and keep training Stella. I would definitely recommend her. Next for us is group training.
Julie is well versed in dog training, and more than prepared us to be able to train our pup. Julie is fun, and helps make training fun and easy too. Our dog continues to outshine those of our friends simply because what we've been taught by Julie actually works!

Firstly, I love the location Paws Down Pets has class set up at. The feed mill provides the perfect opportunity to practice behaviors with distractions, and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. Secondly, Julie is a phenomenal trainer. I myself have family in the veterinary business, so I had a little bit of help already with my puppy, but Julie really specializes in animal behavior and techniques for training. Julie took what I already knew and developed it above and beyond what I had hoped. Her techniques have been working very well for my pup, and she always gives clear and thorough explanation because she knows it’s important for the handler to understand why dogs do what they do. Every time Julie does a demonstration, she shows that she knows exactly what she is talking about. She is personable and great with dogs. I appreciate that Julie is always very responsive to my emails, and after each class she provides handouts so that we can review and practiced what we learned on our own. Having access to those resources has been very helpful for me. I couldn’t recommend Paws Down Pets more, and I’m excited to enroll in the next class! - Valerie and Mia
