Unlike large facilities, your dog trains in a real home environment with hands on daily work and never spends time in a kennel. How long does it take to train a dog or puppy?
It depends on the dog or puppy's age, breed, and the behavior being trained. Basic obedience can take a few weeks to a few months, while advanced behavioral issues and engrained bad habits can take longer. It is also very important that the owners follow through with the strategies learned during the training sessions. If bad behaviors get to continue in the trainer's absence, training will take longer.

Private dog or puppy training sessions are $120/hour. There are discounts for purchasing 3 or 6 lesson packages. The amount of sessions needed will vary depending on the dog's specific issues that need to be resolved and the amount of follow through from the owner outside of lessons.

Absolutely! Older dogs can certainly learn new behaviors. It may take longer than with puppies due to the length of time the bad habits have been part of the dog's daily routine. With consistency and patience however, dogs of any age can be taught proper manners!

After struggling with our dog Roo’s leash pulling, we decided to give Rachael’s training a try, and I am so glad we did! From the first session we noticed a huge difference! She was patient with Roo and most importantly she was patient with me!! Her techniques and knowledge were clear and easy to put to use. Rachael was a delight to work with. Our dog is a mix from a shelter and was very skittish when we got him. He is 7 months old and would not walk with a leash. In fact we couldn't even get him out the front door. Rachael came to our residence and with one visit she had a leash on him and walking outside in the front! It's still a work in progress, but with Rachael's help we can now take him on walks! She was very gentle but firm with him and offered suggestions how to deal with the skittishness. I would definitely recommend her for help with your dog.

rachel is amazing to work with. from day 1 she took time to understand our issues and tailored her approach to develop our unpredictable dog into one we felt confident bringing out in public. no more fear of him lunging and going cray cray when another dog walks by. the change took time, but we are so thankful we took this leap of faith to transform his life and ours.
