Amazing service !! I have an 11 month old belgian malinois who is a very happy and hyper girl, my husband and I tried PetSmart training and it did absolutely nothing for her. We found hectors page and contacted him immediately, he was very understanding, very patient and very knowledgeable!!! I did the 12 day semi training and my dog has shown amazing progress !! Hector constantly kept us updated on her training with phone calls, videos, & text messages everyday & we had one on one classes which was very helpful! He has multiple other animals with him and he treats them all amazingly !! And not to mention that the prices are very reasonable. Not only does he train your animals but he explains how he’s doing it and why he’s doing it so we have a better understanding of what’s going on. Before my trip to Maui, I thought I had everything sorted for my dog, Koda, who was supposed to be at a board and train to work on his aggression. But on my very first night in Maui, I got the call that the trainer couldn’t handle Koda and I needed to pick him up ASAP. Imagine the stress of being thousands of miles away with no one to help! Enter Hector, my hero! Not only did he step in and pick up Koda when I had no other options, but he also managed to calm him down, take him for walks, and care for him until I returned from vacation. When I got back, I couldn’t believe how much calmer and more relaxed Koda was after just a few days with Hector. Hector truly went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful. If you’re looking for someone who really knows how to work with dogs, especially those with behavioral issues, I highly recommend Hector. He’s the best!

Hector and Sergio with Paws Down Best Dog Training are the reason my wife and I are still able to keep our dog Dot in our lives. We adopted Dot as a young puppy in 2021, and so began our COVID dog experience. She was very comfortable with us, but began to show signs of fear and anxiety in and out of the house. Having guests come over to the house would result in an absolute meltdown, and barking fit. After about a year she began to become territorial, and possessive over toys and my wife. This trend would continue to worsen until we were breaking up several fights between our dogs, and my wife was bitten multiple times. The dog aggression was scary, but when Dot began showing aggression directly at my wife we began to consider if it was time to rehome her. Before giving up on her we knew it was time to seek professional help. Thankfully we’d met Hector through our cousin, and so we reached out to get his input. We explained our experience, and he recommended doing a full month board & train. My wife and I were moving from Arizona to Colorado at the time so we opted to drive to El Paso first where we left Dot in boarding school. While we were in Colorado, and Dot was in El Paso Hector regularly sent us videos of how training was going. We were able to use this time for questions about how to integrate training with our other dog, and determine what new home rules would be necessary when Dot returns. At the end of her boarding period we made the trip back down to El Paso where we had a plan with Hector to do 5 days of training alongside him. He knew Dot would test her boundaries once she was back home, and these training sessions were incredibly helpful for my wife and I to learn proper responses to behaviors. We bought cones, built agility ramps, and take Dot out in public to continue some of his training at home because Dot enjoys doing what she learned with Hector.
