Paw and Hand K9

It has been almost a year since Ziggy went to her 8-week board and train, or what I like to call “good girl school” lol. Ziggy was aggressive towards other dogs and kids, lacked confidence and discipline, and terrible on and off leash. It was a huge challenge for both of us. We tried 3 other trainers in the area and nothing really seemed to work. Fast forward to now, I can rent airbnbs with other friends dogs present, take her to breweries and dog parks and on the trail with complete ease. The training is completely customized to your dog. They take the time to get to know you and your doggo and determine which trainer would be the best fit and from there figure out which tools and techniques (and motivations) work the best. Zig and I had the pleasure of working with Charlee, who was just wonderful throughout the entire process. She’s patient and articulate when training, and gave me weekly updates on zigs progress. Highly recommend! It’s still the best investment I’ve made to date.

We are so happy with the results from the 6 week Freedom program. It amazes us how much more fulfilling dog ownership is with the tools provided by this program. Paw and Hand taught our dog what is expected of him, and showed us how to communicate with him. We are so excited for all the opportunities that this has opened up for us to make memories with our pup as a family in situations that would have previously made us anxious. Charlie, our dog’s trainer, was great to work with and took excellent care of our dog. She is a wealth of knowledge and always welcomed and answered any questions we had (and continues to do so after we’ve gone home). We know our pup was sad to say goodbye but we look forward to the follow up lessons that are provided through this package and many other outings - stress free!

Words cannot express my gratitude and respect for Paw and Hand. I was extremely nervous to drop my baby boy off for six weeks! I was nervous they wouldn’t treat him like I do, he’d forget me or he wouldn’t be the same dog when I got him back… all of my paranoias were extremely far off. I got back the same beautiful boy except he had manners! He was a little over a year, full of energy, went absolutely insane whenever he saw another human being or other animal. He never listened and couldn’t get out of his tunnel vision if he was locked onto something else. The dog we got back was able to recall, no jumping, listened and didn’t act like a loon around others. I have never been more impressed. The best part of it all, he loved it there. Everyone treated our dog with love and it showed. After we got him back home, and we had visits to Paw and Hand, he was sooooo excited to see them all. I received updates weekly that included photos! We were sent home with all kind of goodies. The training we had with Merissa during those six weeks made lasting impressions. It was worth the money.
